The excitement surrounding the Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, organized by the Da Nang People’s Committee with the support of Sun Group, has reached its most explosive stage. Just days before the fifth competition night on June 27, all grandstand tickets have officially sold out. In response to surging demand from spectators and visitors, the Organizing Committee has decided to open the A4 Grandstand, offering more than 2,000 additional seats, starting from the fifth competition night instead of waiting until the final as originally planned.
The expansion reflects the extraordinary appeal of this year’s DIFF, which has consistently delivered spectacular fireworks performances, generated widespread buzz across social media, and attracted tens of thousands of visitors to the city on the Han River.
From the very first nights, DIFF 2026 grandstands have been filled to capacity. Meanwhile, riverside roads, Dragon Bridge, Tran Thi Ly Bridge, and many free fireworks-viewing locations have been packed with spectators hours before each show. The festival atmosphere has spread throughout the city, with cultural performances, entertainment activities, culinary experiences, and tourism services creating a vibrant summer destination.
According to travel operators and ticket distributors, demand for tickets to the final two nights has surged in recent days. The fifth competition night—the last qualifying round—has officially sold out. The addition of the A4 Grandstand with more than 2,000 seats provides more visitors with an opportunity to experience some of the season’s most anticipated performances.
The June 27 competition night, themed “Vision,” will conclude the qualifying stage of DIFF 2026 with a highly anticipated showdown between Skylighter Fireworks Pty Ltd (Australia) and Macedos Pirotecnia Lda (Portugal).

The Australian team promises a high-energy musical journey featuring internationally renowned hits from Coldplay, Bon Jovi, and Avicii. Combined with cutting-edge fireworks effects, their performance will tell a story of aspiration, progress, and the determination to push beyond limits.
Meanwhile, Macedos Pirotecnia, a Portuguese fireworks company with more than 90 years of history, returns to Da Nang after winning the “Most Creative Team” award at DIFF 2025. Drawing on decades of expertise, the team will present a display conceived as a “statement of vision,” where light symbolizes connection, innovation, and a future-oriented mindset.
One side youthful and explosive; the other rich in artistic depth and European heritage—the contrast in styles is expected to make this one of the most exciting battles ahead of the final night.
Beyond the packed grandstands, DIFF 2026 continues to generate a positive impact on Da Nang’s tourism industry. Throughout the festival period, occupancy rates at riverside and beachfront hotels have remained high, particularly on weekends. Restaurants, cafés, and fireworks-viewing cruises have also reported strong increases in customer numbers, with many venues fully booked days in advance.
Tour operators report growing demand for travel packages that combine fireworks viewing with broader destination experiences. Many visitors are extending their stays rather than spending just one night in the city, taking the opportunity to explore Da Nang’s attractions, resorts, culinary scene, and nearby destinations such as Sun World Ba Na Hills, Hoi An Ancient Town, and My Son Sanctuary.
The popularity of DIFF demonstrates that the festival is not only an international cultural and entertainment event but also an important driver of tourism, services, and the nighttime economy in Da Nang every summer.
