Da Nang at night has long been etched into travellers’ memories through dazzling fireworks seasons along the Han River, the spectacular fire-and-water performances of Dragon Bridge, the gentle rotation of Han River Bridge, and Hoi An Ancient Town glowing beneath thousands of lanterns.
But have you ever spent an entire evening simply listening to the sea in Da Nang?
Not merely standing on the shore and watching the distant waves, but walking barefoot across the sand, wandering through realms of light, watching kites rise like stars into the sky, savouring the flavours of home in the sea breeze, and allowing yourself to slow down in a city that is always full of energy.
For five days only, from 22 to 26 July 2026, Enjoy Danang Festival 2026 will reveal a very different side of Da Nang, right along the shores of My Khe Beach.
An evening not only to be admired, but to be entered, touched and carried home in your memories.

As the sun sets, another journey begins
On summer days, My Khe Beach shines brightly beneath the sun. Yet as the sun slowly disappears behind the city, the beach takes on an entirely different beauty.
The sky deepens into shades of blue. Cool breezes carry the gentle saltiness of the sea. The sound of the waves becomes clearer across the vast open space. Along the shoreline, one illuminated area after another begins to glow, guiding visitors into the heart of the festival.
You can begin the evening with a leisurely stroll along the Da Nang Coastal Experience Route. Every step offers a new encounter with the sea at night, with artistic installations and with familiar images of coastal life retold through light.
Try walking slowly.
Pause before a basket boat, a fishing net or a cluster of lights moving gently in the breeze. Look up at the kites against the night sky. Listen as the sound of the waves blends with music drifting in from afar. And remember to capture a few moments, because Da Nang’s coastline during these festival nights will be unlike any other.
Seaside Light Soirée – A thousand stars touching memories
The most anticipated highlight of this journey is the “Seaside Light Soirée – A Thousand Stars Touching Memories”, taking place from 24 to 26 July 2026 on the beach north of East Sea Park.
As night fully descends, nearly 500 illuminated kites will rise together above Da Nang’s sea and sky.
From afar, the small kites gradually transform into moving stars. Some soar high against the night sky, some tilt gently with the wind, while others follow one another to form a shimmering stream of light above the sea.
The ocean lies ahead. The city glows behind. Above, the sky is redrawn in light.
The moment may take you back to summers long gone, when happiness was as simple as a kite, a long stretch of sand and footsteps running with the wind. Memories that seemed to have fallen asleep suddenly return: afternoons spent playing with friends, voices calling everyone home as darkness fell, the aroma of grilled corn and sweet potatoes, or evenings when the whole family sat together sharing endless stories.
The Seaside Light Soirée is therefore more than an artistic performance.
It is a realm of memories awakened by light, music and the sound of the waves.
You may choose a place to sit on the sand, watch the “stars” moving across the night sky, talk with the person beside you, or simply remain silent and take in the passing moment.
Sometimes, the most beautiful part of a journey is not how many sights we have seen, but a single moment we wish to hold in our hearts for a little longer.
Walking along the Da Nang Coastal Experience Route
Before and after the soirée, the Da Nang Coastal Experience Route will continue to guide visitors through many layers of discovery.
The familiar beachfront is transformed by artistic lighting, decorative installations and materials inspired by the everyday lives of coastal communities. Boats, fishing nets, bamboo and kites are no longer still images from memory, but become part of an immersive journey through the night.
You do not have to travel far to find a beautiful scene.
Sometimes, it is simply the moment you stand on the sand, with the waves ahead and the city lights behind. Or the instant you happen to look up just as a kite changes direction, drawing a trail of light across the sky.
The route follows no fixed itinerary. Everyone can choose their own way to enjoy it: walking slowly, taking a photograph, pausing to listen to music, speaking with local residents, or simply allowing their feet to follow the illuminated spaces along the shore.
Savouring the flavours of home by the sea at night
From the Coastal Experience Route, the aroma of freshly prepared dishes will lead visitors towards the Countryside Market Culinary Space at East Sea Park.
Beneath warm lights, the food stalls bring together familiar flavours from Da Nang and Central Viet Nam. You may encounter the aroma of food fresh from the grill, the rich taste of rustic local dishes, or the lively sounds of a countryside market in the late afternoon.
Even amid a large festival, the culinary space retains the warmth and intimacy of a family meal.
After a walk along the beach, you can sit down, order a favourite dish and listen as the person beside you shares stories from their day. You can share a serving of hot food, sip a cool drink and watch the crowd move slowly past.
Food on this journey is not simply about satisfying the palate. Every flavour offers another way to connect with the daily life, sincerity and warm hospitality of the people of Da Nang.
When the night sea moves to different rhythms
An evening on My Khe Beach may begin gently, but it can become vibrant at any moment.
At the beachfront EDM entertainment space, youthful rhythms will awaken the energy of summer. Music fills the open-air setting, blending with the waves and the sea breeze until the distance between the stage and the audience seems to disappear.
You can immerse yourself in the crowd and move to the music, or stand a little farther away and feel the bass travelling across the sand.

At the main stage of East Sea Park, nightly performances will take audiences through a variety of moods and emotions. From contemporary music and acoustic performances to the traditional cultural heritage of Da Nang and the Co Tu and Xe Dang ethnic communities, each performance becomes part of a portrait of a city that is youthful and modern, yet deeply rooted in its identity.
You may come for the lights, but stay longer because an unexpected melody touches your heart.
A moment of stillness beneath the roof of Linh Ung Pagoda
Da Nang at night is not only about light and music.
After the lively moments by the sea, visitors can discover a completely different rhythm through the “Meditation to Touch Stillness” programme, taking place on the evening of 25 July at Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula.
The road from the beach to Son Tra gradually leaves the city behind. The lights grow smaller, the noise begins to fade, giving way to mountain breezes, peaceful surroundings and expansive views over the sea.
Beneath the pagoda roof, you can sit down, regulate your breathing, enjoy tea, listen to sound therapy and allow yourself to step away from the pace of everyday life.
There is no need to search for any particular emotion.
Simply sit quietly, listen to the sound of the bell, feel the breeze passing by and realise that peace may have been there all along; perhaps we simply have not taken enough time to listen.
From the vibrant atmosphere of My Khe Beach to the tranquillity of Son Tra Peninsula, this evening journey reveals the many emotional layers of Da Nang: radiant without being overwhelming, youthful yet contemplative, modern while remaining close to nature and its original values.
What will you remember after a night by the sea?
Perhaps it will be the moment when hundreds of kites light up the sky together.
Perhaps it will be an unplanned walk along the sand, a warm dish enjoyed in the sea breeze, or a melody arriving just when your heart needs to be touched.
Or perhaps it will simply be a quiet moment beside someone you love, with the vast night sea ahead and “stars” flying with the wind above.
For five days, from 22 to 26 July 2026, Enjoy Danang Festival 2026 will transform My Khe Beach and East Sea Park into a meeting place of light, music, cuisine, art and deeply personal emotions.
A different kind of night in Da Nang is waiting for you by the sea.
Come as the sun begins to set, step onto the sand and let the night sea guide you through experiences found only in this summer season.
