The Vo Chi Cong Memorial Site covers an area of nearly 16,000 m² and is located in Khuong My Hamlet, Tam Xuan Commune, Da Nang City. The construction was begun on March 29, 2003, and completed on March 24, 2004.
In 2013, the former People’s Committee of Quang Nam Province approved the project for the restoration, upgrading, and expansion of the Vo Chi Cong Memorial Site. In January 2017, the project was completed and officially opened to visitors. After the expansion, the structures within the memorial site were designed in the style of traditional Vietnamese folk architecture, harmoniously combined with green trees, gardens, rows of areca palms, jasmine flowers, and other natural features, creating a solemn yet simple atmosphere closely connected to the homeland and the nation. The complex includes a worship house, reception house, exhibition house, film screening house, and community library.

Worship House – Memorial House
This is the central structure of the memorial site. The worship house was built in the style of traditional folk architecture, featuring a central altar, two side compartments, a front veranda, and two connected side wings leading to the reception area. The structure follows a traditional three-section wooden design with 34 columns and a yin-yang tiled roof, facing east-northeast.

The Exhibition House
The exhibition house preserves artifacts, documents, and photographs related to the life and revolutionary career of Comrade Vo Chi Cong during the resistance wars against the French and American forces, as well as the period of national reconstruction and development after reunification. The building covers an area of 456 square meters and features reinforced concrete designed to resemble wood, modeled after a traditional three-compartment, two-wing folk house with a yin-yang tiled roof and terracotta brick flooring.

The artifacts, documents, and photographs are arranged according to historical periods, helping visitors better understand the life and significant contributions of Comrade Vo Chi Cong to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause, as well as his contributions to national reconstruction and economic development in the years following the reunification.
The Cinema House
The building was constructed to support public communication, revolutionary tradition education, and the introduction of historical materials to visitors. The cinema house features a spacious area and a wood-grain concrete structure modeled after traditional Vietnamese folk architecture. Inside, it is equipped with a large screen, a sound system, and modern projection equipment to present documentaries, reports, and images about the life and revolutionary career of Vo Chi Cong.
The Vo Chi Cong Memorial Site of Comrade Vo Chi Cong stands as a “Red Address” (a revolutionary historic site) regularly selected by government agencies, socio-political organizations, and educational institutions as a venue for organizing meaningful activities. These include floral tribute ceremonies, incense offerings, induction ceremonies for new Communist Party members, Youth Union members, and Pioneer Children members, along with various educational journeys back to historical roots.

The site was officially designated as a National Historic Site by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism under Decision No. 2624/QD-BVHTTDL dated July 18, 2012.
