With more than 4,900 athletes from over 80 countries and territories registered to compete, the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 is gearing up for an exciting week of competition in Da Nang. Taking place from August 30 to September 6, 2026, the tournament will bring together Vietnam’s and the world’s pickleball communities while offering a vibrant programme of sports, cultural exchange and community activities throughout Vietnam’s National Day holiday.
On the afternoon of August 16, the official group-stage draw for the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 took place, marking an important milestone ahead of the tournament’s opening in Da Nang.
According to the Organising Committee, more than 4,900 athletes from over 80 countries and territories have registered to participate. The scale of the event is set to make Da Nang a major gathering point for athletes, pickleball enthusiasts and the international sporting community in late August and early September.
Da Nang strengthens its position on the international pickleball map
Hosting a major international tournament lasting more than a week adds another highlight to Da Nang’s calendar of tourism and sporting events. Alongside following the competition, athletes, accompanying guests and fans can combine their sporting journey with opportunities to discover the city’s beaches, cuisine, culture, heritage and signature experiences.
The event also contributes to Da Nang’s ambition to strengthen its profile as a destination for international sporting events, using sport as a platform to connect communities and showcase the city to visitors from around the world.
More than 4,900 athletes and leading players set to compete
The Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 will bring together many prominent pickleball athletes from Vietnam and overseas.
Among the notable names expected to compete are Phuc Huynh, Ly Hoang Nam, Truong Vinh Hien, Quang Duong, Jack Munro, Roos Van Reek and Jay Devilliers, alongside athletes representing countries and territories from around the world.
In the National Category, 156 teams have registered to compete across five divisions: Open, Senior, Master, Junior and Kids, creating a diverse competitive platform for players of different ages and levels.
The participation of professional athletes, leading players and a broad community of competitors is expected to create an energetic week of pickleball in Da Nang.
More than just competition on the court
Beyond the tournament programme, the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 will feature a series of community, exchange and experiential activities.
Highlights include the International Parade, Pickleball Clinic, Promoters Forum and a World Market featuring approximately 200 booths, together with cultural, community and networking activities.
Through these activities, the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 will be more than a sporting competition. It will also provide an opportunity for pickleball communities from different countries to meet, exchange ideas and experience the host city together.
A vibrant sporting week during Vietnam’s National Day holiday
The Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026 will take place from August 30 to September 6, 2026, coinciding with Vietnam’s National Day holiday and adding another exciting experience for residents and visitors in Da Nang.
The Opening Ceremony will take place on September 2 at Tien Son Sports Arena, while the Finals and Closing Ceremony will be held on September 6.
