On the evening of June 30, under the auspices of the People’s Committee of Da Nang City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with Sun Group and other relevant partners, successfully organized a comprehensive artistic program and fireworks display themed “Da Nang – Soaring with the Nation”, held at the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) stage. Sun Group and our other partners played a crucial role in the planning and execution of this event, contributing their expertise and resources to make it a success.
This significant event was held to commemorate the Announcement Ceremony of Resolutions and Decisions issued by the Central Government and local authorities, which addressed the merger of provincial- and commune-level administrative units, the dissolution of specific district-level units, and the establishment of corresponding Party organizations, including the appointment of new Party executive committees and local governance bodies at various levels.
The program was designed not only to celebrate this historic milestone but also to enhance public understanding of the strategic importance of the administrative reorganization and the merger of Quang Nam Province with Da Nang City. By fostering an atmosphere of hope and solidarity, the event aimed to strengthen public confidence in the future development of the newly established urban entity. This new city is envisioned as a robust foundation rooted in cultural values, knowledge, and the ambitions of its people—qualities that are deeply embedded in a land known for its warmth and loyalty. This initiative is anticipated to serve as a vital resource for Da Nang, positioning it alongside the nation in asserting Viet Nam’s role on the global stage of innovation and economic growth.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with their unwavering dedication and hard work, took the lead in organizing the artistic program and fireworks display, with valuable support from Sun Group and other collaborators. Their efforts were instrumental in making this event a resounding success.
The event drew nearly 5,000 attendees, including representatives from the Central Government, current and former leaders of Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City, veteran revolutionaries, esteemed retired officials, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People’s Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor, and a significant number of residents. All these diverse groups came together, united in their shared celebration of this momentous occasion of renewal, growth, and shared aspirations.
The program featured performances by celebrated Vietnamese artists, including Meritorious Artist Quang Hao, alongside renowned singers Anh Tuyet, Vo Ha Tram, To My, and Hong Minh, as well as performers from Trung Vuong Theatre. The repertoire featured moving pieces like “Beloved Land – Song of Loyalty”, “My Love, Han River”, “Quang Nam – Da Nang: A Song of Unity”, “Da Nang Takes Flight”, as well as traditional Bai Choi folk tunes, including “Homeland of Enduring Affection”. These performances honored the deep connection between Quang Nam and Da Nang, celebrating the patriotic spirit of the people of Da Nang and the Vietnamese nation as a whole.
Culminating the evening was a breathtaking “light feast” above the Han River, a dazzling fireworks display presented by Z121, the new representative of Vietnam at DIFF 2025. This stunning visual spectacle, with its vibrant colors and thunderous booms, not only entertained but also symbolized a new chapter in the journey of the newly established Da Nang City, leaving the audience in awe of the city’s bright future.
In parallel, an artistic performance entitled “New City – New Space – New Driving Force” took place at 24/3 Square to commemorate the establishment of the newly merged Da Nang City. This performance, which featured a variety of artistic expressions including music, dance, and visual arts, symbolized the dynamic and innovative spirit of the new Da Nang City. The evening concluded with a low-altitude fireworks display organized by the event’s Steering Committee, adding a touch of spectacle to the celebration.
