On March 3, the People’s Committee of Da Nang announced Plan No. 65/KH-UBND, outlining the Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) 2025 framework.
The AGTC is an important annual event that brings together golf tourism professionals, including golf tour operators, golf course managers, and related suppliers. Organized by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), this convention rotates among major cities across Asia, and Da Nang is set to receive it for the second time.
Scheduled to take place from March 30 to April 5, 2025, at the Sheraton Grand Danang Resort & Convention Center, the event will comprise several key components, including: – Asia Golf Tourism Conference – AGTC 2025 Golf Championship – Golf Course Famtrips for Golf Tour Operators – Welcome Reception and Gala Dinner – Opening Press Conference – Delegate Welcome Program – Da Nang Tourism Showcase & Media Engagement – A Gathering of Global Golf Tourism Leaders
The convention is expected to welcome approximately 450 delegates, 350 of whom are international representatives from over 35 countries and territories, all of whom are official IAGTO members, and 100 domestic delegates from Vietnam’s tourism and golf industries. The primary goal of AGTC 2025 is to highlight Da Nang’s exceptional golf tourism infrastructure and its potential to attract international interest. This initiative aligns with Da Nang’s objective to establish itself as “Asia’s Leading Festival and Event Destination”. Additionally, the convention will facilitate networking opportunities for local golf tourism businesses, helping them build connections with leading international operators. By hosting AGTC 2025, Da Nang will broaden and enrich its tourism offerings and strengthen its position as a key destination for high-spending luxury travelers, fostering growth in the region’s economic landscape.
