For the first time in Da Nang, a large-scale night run will be held as part of the 2026 New Year Festival. The “Light Up the Han River – Run Toward the Future” race will take place from 10:00 p.m. to midnight on December 31, 2025.
With the approval of the Da Nang City People’s Committee and the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, America & Asia Link Co., Ltd. (AAC) will organize the Da Nang New Year Run 2026.
With a 5 km distance, the race route takes participants from Bach Dang pedestrian street, offering stunning views of Da Nang’s shimmering cityscape as runners cross Dragon Bridge, blend into the vibrant rhythm along Tran Hung Dao Street, pass over Nguyen Van Troi Bridge, and finish amid the joyful atmosphere of the New Year countdown moment.
More than a sporting event, the run is designed as an immersive experience that spreads the spirit of physical activity, encouraging participants to welcome the New Year with renewed health, energy, and joy. The event is expected to attract a large number of professional and amateur runners from both Vietnam and abroad, along with local residents and visitors eager to join the lively celebrations welcoming 2026.
The Danang New Year Festival 2026 is a city-level annual cultural and tourism event featuring a wide range of innovative, engaging, and distinctive cultural, artistic, tourism, and entertainment activities. The festival will take place over five days, from December 30, 2025 to January 3, 2026, across multiple locations including the East Bank Park of Dragon Bridge (Tran Hung Dao – Ly Nam De area), Bach Dang pedestrian street, Hoi An, Tam Thanh Beach Park, March 24 Square, and various other sites throughout the city.
The festival aims to diversify tourism products, enhance visitor experiences, stimulate travel demand to Da Nang, and create dynamic spaces for recreation and entertainment—opening a vibrant and energetic start to 2026.
