As part of the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV), the “Vietnamese Cinema Today” programme presents a diverse panorama of contemporary Vietnamese filmmaking through 27 films spanning feature films, documentaries, short films and animation.
Distinct from the Vietnamese Film Competition, this non-competitive programme showcases the breadth of creative voices shaping Vietnamese cinema today. Each film offers a unique perspective on people, society, culture and contemporary life, reflecting the industry’s continuous exploration of new storytelling approaches and artistic expression.
The programme includes:
- 12 feature films
- 7 documentaries
- 8 animated and short films
All screenings will take place at Galaxy Cinema Da Nang from 28 June to 2 July 2026 as part of DANAFF IV.
Through this programme, audiences will have the opportunity to discover the richness and diversity of Vietnamese cinema, from emerging filmmakers to established directors, while experiencing stories that celebrate humanity, cultural identity and creativity.
