Golden Dragon Restaurant presents the new “Weekend Dim Sum Buffet”
Located on the 2nd Floor of Grand Mercure Danang, an upscale and unique Chinese restaurant, Golden Dragon, offers the finest Cantonese and Shanghai delicacies. This authentic restaurant showcases a dining experience of over 50 Dim Sum treats, meticulously designed & hand-crafted by our especially trained Chefs.
Serving a cultural experience in bamboo steam baskets and cups of Chinese tea, Golden Dragon is now offering the unique “Weekend Dim Sum Buffet” in town which will be available from 11:00 am to 14:00 pm every Saturday and Sunday from the 26th of November, 2016.
The Cantonese tradition of Dim Sum is said to date back from the 10th century, when the teahouses of China began serving food to go along with their popular oolong tea. Literally meaning ‘touch the heart,’ Dim Sum refers to the dumplings and other small bites that do indeed produce an emotional response. Following the tradition, our Weekend Dim Sum Buffet will be served along hot Chinese tea.
In addition to our well-known all-you-can-eat Dim Sum, this new buffet line for the weekends consists of refreshing Vietnamese salads, Chinese soups and hot dishes, Chinese BBQ with pecking duck & pork, hot pot station, specialty desserts and a wide range of Dim Sum
favorites. The Vietnamese starter & salad station gives a sense of expectation and emphasize the freshness of the ingredients. A food buffet line with many special hot dishes are available such as steamed whole fish “Hong Kong” style, wok fried vegetables with oyster sauce, fried rice noodle with beef, etc. This buffet corner includes marinated beef shank, fresh spring rolls with prawn, fresh noodles & herbs, smoked duck breast with plum sauce, all these dishes are perfect as a starter.
A live station enhances aromas and warmth, stimulates the five senses, and increases the appetite with Peking duck and hoisin sauce, barbecued glazed pork with honey, roasted chicken & pork belly simply prepared and expertly executed on the spot. Our live station and hot pot station include a verity of meat, seafood and vegetables served with fresh & dried noodles.
A must-try is the restaurant’s signature and legendary Dim Sum such all-time-favorite Siew Mai, Har kau (shrimp dumplings), minced pork dumpling “Shanghai” style, scallop dumplings with garlic, barbecued pork bun, glutinous rice chicken in “ladong” leaves, satay squid & shrimp with cilantro in red chilli, Golden Dragon spring roll, wild prawn & Japanese bay scallop dumpling, stuffed zucchini/ eggplant with minced shrimp, deep fried wonton stuffed with pork & mushrooms, among with many other items. To make sure the steamed & fried Dim Sum are always served in the best flavor and texture, we of course offer our a la carte menu for guests to choose. All will be served in several minutes right at the table.
In the middle of the Golden Dragon Restaurant is our dessert counter. We offer a mouthwatering selection of delicious delights, including chilled almond jelly with lychee, banana sago in coconut milk, sesame balls, egg tarts, sliced fresh fruits and so on.
