Cau Ngu Festival (Whale Festival) in Vietnam, which is also called Whale Festival, is the biggest festival of the fishermen in Da Nang. They worship the Whale for not only showing their respect but also the wealth of the whole village.
Cau Ngu Festival in Da Nang takes place in 01 – 05/04/2017. The fishermen often decorate their boats with flowers and lanterns, dance and sing to pray for bumper harvests and everything going smoothly in the ocean. Finally, they pray the spirit of the Whale for protection and peaceful life for the village.
