The Department of State Assessment of the Quality of Construction Works has recently announced that the Tran Thi Ly Bridge across Da Nang’s Han River is one of five projects in the country to win a 2014 High-Quality Construction Work Award. The other winning projects are the Vista service commercial and office complex in An Phu Ward in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 2, the Hua Na Hydropower Plant in Nghe An Province’s Que Phong District, the Memorial House for late President Ho Chi Minh at the Pac Bo historical site in Cao Bang Province’s Quang Ha District, and the Lotte Centre Hanoi at 54 Lieu Giai Street in Ba Dinh District.

These projects have met the award’s criteria of saving construction costs, being completed on schedule, and using new materials, applying advanced technologies, and technical and scientific breakthroughs during their construction. Another criterion is based on an assessment of the quality of the projects by their managers, users and public opinion.
