On 23 October 2026, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held the announcement and experiential programme for “Top 100 Da Nang Touchpoints” at Loc Yen Ancient Village in Thanh Binh Commune and Bai Say – Song Dam in Ban Thach Ward. The event opened up a fresh perspective on Da Nang tourism – where every destination tells a story, every experience leaves a lasting impression, and every emotion contributes to the city’s distinctive appeal.
TOP 100 DA NANG TOUCHPOINTS ANNOUNCED FOR 2026
OPENING NEW PATHS TO DISCOVER THE DESTINATION’S IDENTITY
Da Nang is remembered not only for its beautiful beaches, iconic bridges and vibrant urban atmosphere. The city’s appeal also lies in its rich cultural heritage, local culinary flavours, pristine natural landscapes and the simple rhythms of community life. These values may not always be found at well-known tourist attractions or popular check-in spots, yet they have the power to evoke genuine emotions and foster lasting connections with the destination.

With this approach, the “Top 100 Da Nang Touchpoints” programme in 2026 seeks to identify, select and celebrate experiences that create lasting impressions, emotions and memorable moments for visitors. What sets the programme apart is its broader interpretation of a destination, extending beyond famous landmarks and architectural attractions to include cultural spaces, cuisine, nature, everyday activities and moments deeply rooted in local identity.

As part of the announcement and experiential programme, more than 30 invited guests, including representatives of the press, media organisations and content creators, joined activities at Loc Yen Ancient Village and Bai Say – Song Dam, two destinations featured among the Top 100 Da Nang Touchpoints for 2026. Connecting these two destinations demonstrates that the programme’s value lies not only in recognising individual experiences but also in inspiring themed itineraries that offer greater depth and encourage visitors to extend their stays.

At Loc Yen Ancient Village, participants explored traditional houses, stone-paved pathways, rural lifestyles, traditional crafts and local cuisine. Activities such as learning traditional handicraft techniques, making products from areca palm sheaths, tasting local dishes and listening to residents’ stories allowed participants to experience cultural values through meaningful, hands-on interactions rather than observation alone.
Continuing from the historical and cultural setting of the ancient village, the journey took participants to Bai Say – Song Dam, where waterways and natural ecosystems offer a different perspective on exploration. Sightseeing, experiential activities and nature observation provided opportunities to experience the rhythms of riverside life while highlighting the potential for developing ecotourism alongside landscape conservation.
FROM COMMUNITY VOICES TO 100 DISTINCTIVE TOUCHPOINTS
Launched in April 2026, the “Top 100 Da Nang Touchpoints” programme received more than 1,500 nominations from local residents, visitors, businesses and communities who share an affection for Da Nang. Following a review and evaluation process, 477 valid nominations were shortlisted for public voting. The voting phase attracted more than 42,000 votes, providing the foundation for finalising the Top 100 Da Nang Touchpoints list for 2026.

A distinctive feature of the programme is that the selected experiences go beyond well-known landmarks, reflecting the perspectives and emotions of the community itself. A familiar local dish, a traditional craft village, an early morning at a fishing port, a sunrise over the sea or a leisurely boat trip along a river can all become memorable touchpoints.
The Top 100 list is organised into six experience categories: Identity, Taste, Pristine Nature, Tranquility, Moments and Local Life. Together, these six categories create a multidimensional portrait of Da Nang, where culture, nature, cuisine and people coexist, complement and connect with one another.
Rather than ranking or comparing destinations, the Top 100 serves as an invitation to explore the city in different ways. Each touchpoint has its own story, helping to broaden travel experiences while creating opportunities for local values to be recognised, preserved and shared.

Every meal, market visit or stop at a small local eatery can become a meaningful and memorable part of the journey through the city.

From Son Tra Peninsula, Nam O Mossy Rocks and the Cham Islands to Bai Say – Song Dam, Phu Ninh Lake, Que Peak and the mountainous forests of western Da Nang, the city offers a rich variety of nature-based experiences.
Beaches, forests, mountains, islands and rivers open up opportunities for exploration, outdoor activities and relaxation, while inspiring greater appreciation for environmental conservation and sustainable tourism development.
Touch of Tranquility – Rediscovering a peaceful rhythm of life

A morning yoga session on My Khe Beach, a quiet moment enjoying tea at Ban Co Peak, a leisurely boat journey along the Thu Bon River or an early morning bicycle ride through Tra Que Traditional Vegetable Farming Village all offer gentler ways to experience the city.
Peaceful moments amid nature, spiritual spaces and tranquil countryside settings enrich Da Nang’s wellness and leisure offerings, encouraging visitors to restore balance between body and mind.
Touch of Moments – Capturing unforgettable memories

The Dragon Bridge illuminated at night, fireworks lighting up the festival sky, Hoi An glowing with colourful lanterns, moments among the clouds at the Golden Bridge and sunrise over the sea are all memorable experiences that contribute to the destination’s unique identity.
Festivals, events and outdoor activities further showcase Da Nang as a dynamic and creative city, where new and exciting discoveries are always waiting to be made.
Touch of Local Life – Connecting with people through everyday experiences

The daily rhythms of Tho Quang Fishing Port, the experience of pulling fishing nets alongside fishermen in Man Thai, exploring Con Market and Han Market, heading out to sea with local fishing communities or learning about communal traditions in a Co Tu Guol communal house all offer visitors a more intimate perspective on Da Nang.
The warmth of local people, stories of everyday livelihoods and cultural traditions woven into daily life add depth to the journey, allowing visitors not only to explore the destination but also to build genuine connections with the places they visit.
From announcing the Top 100 to developing meaningful travel experiences
Through the programme, Da Nang’s tourism sector aims to establish the Top 100 Da Nang Touchpoints as a valuable resource and source of inspiration for future tourism promotion and marketing activities.
These touchpoints can be connected to create themed itineraries, including heritage and traditional craft village discoveries, culinary journeys through the Quang region, explorations of pristine natural landscapes and immersive experiences with local communities.
The expanded tourism landscape, connecting urban areas, coastal destinations, heritage sites, rural communities and mountainous regions following administrative boundary adjustments, creates new opportunities for Da Nang to develop diverse tourism products that cater to different interests and preferences.

Rather than limiting their journeys to individual attractions, visitors can choose itineraries that combine multiple experiences, explore cultural heritage in greater depth and appreciate the distinctive character of different areas within the city.
The announcement and experiential programme on 23 October 2026 also provided an opportunity for journalists, media representatives and content creators to experience destinations firsthand, document their journeys and share authentic stories.
The photographs, articles and creative content generated through these experiences are expected to bring the touchpoints closer to visitors while encouraging communities to continue discovering, sharing and preserving the city’s distinctive values.
The Top 100 Da Nang Touchpoints for 2026 is more than a collection of 100 remarkable experiences. It is an invitation to discover the city through genuine connections and authentic experiences. From a local dish or a traditional home to a riverside landscape or a fleeting moment in nature, every touchpoint contributes to telling the story of Da Nang, its land and its people.
Guided by the message “Da Nang – Return to Origins”, the city hopes that every journey will not only lead visitors to new places but also deepen their understanding of local culture, strengthen their connections with local communities and create lasting personal memories.
After all, the enduring appeal of a destination lies not only in what visitors see, but also in what they truly experience and carry with them long after their journey ends.
