On August 27, 2025, at the Bà Nà Mountain area, Sun Group and the People’s Committee of Da Nang City held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Bà Nà resort and entertainment complex, with a total investment of 52 trillion VND in its second phase.
The project is expected to create a world-class tourism–resort–real estate megacity, providing further momentum for Da Nang to enhance its competitiveness after merging with Quang Nam, and to become an international destination.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Lương Nguyễn Minh Triết – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Da Nang City – stated: “After the merger, Da Nang City has expanded its geographical space tenfold, opening up many opportunities for development with new potentials.” Therefore, “the projects within the Bà Nà – Suối Mơ Ecotourism and Urban Complex will be works that contribute to completing a world-class, multi-experience ecosystem in Bà Nà, meeting the ever-growing demands of tourists, especially as Da Nang sets the goal of welcoming tens of millions of visitors each year.”
The Bà Nà – Suối Mơ Ecotourism and Urban Complex spans across Bà Nà and Hòa Vang communes, covering an area of 806 hectares with a total investment of up to 52,000 billion VND. It comprises the Suối Mơ Ecotourism and Urban Area at the foothill of Bà Nà Mountain and the Ecotourism Area on the summit of Bà Nà Mountain.
In particular, the Bà Nà – Suối Mơ Ecotourism and Urban Complex at the mountain’s foothill will be developed with distinctive subzones, including: an Entertainment Park (water park, thrill rides, family games, etc.); and a High-Tech Entertainment Park (space adventure games with 5D cinema, future world exploration zone, VR–virtual reality gaming area, etc.). Once completed, this entertainment park will serve as the “heart of the city,” becoming a vibrant hub both day and night, where visitors and residents can indulge all senses through a wide variety of experiences, from entertainment to shopping, dining, and world-class year-round festivals.

The highlight of the complex is the urban area with a diverse range of housing types, seamlessly integrated with open spaces filled with greenery and flower gardens, interconnected through a system of internal roads, subzone routes, and the main urban traffic axis. Among these, the low-rise residential zone is designed with a variety of villas and townhouses in modern architectural styles, harmoniously blending with the natural landscape. Additionally, hillside villas are designed to merge gracefully into the surrounding forested scenery.

Within this complex, there is also a luxury resort and a modern golf complex covering an area of 294 hectares, offering world-class and distinctive leisure experiences amidst picturesque natural landscapes, with premium villas surrounding a state-of-the-art 36-hole golf course.
Seamlessly connected to Vietnam’s first Free Trade Zone developed within the complex, the project will shape an iconic and one-of-a-kind urban area in the world, where visitors and residents can enjoy diverse living spaces and experiences in a single day, constantly embracing a destination worth living in—one that delivers quality of life down to every moment, as in Bà Nà, Da Nang.
The uniqueness of the Bà Nà megacomplex will be further extended to the mountain summit, with components implemented in this phase including a hotel, resort, entertainment, and multipurpose performance complex comprising 2,500 rooms of 5-star standards. It will feature an entertainment zone, a multipurpose performance hall, an indoor themed garden, a convention center, and more, with a total investment of approximately 20,000 billion VND.
The complex is designed in the classical French architectural style of the 16th–17th centuries, offering visitors to Bà Nà unique and refreshing experiences in resort tourism and art appreciation. In particular, it will diversify day-and-night entertainment products and services with multimedia art shows, distinctive themed amusement areas, and more—thereby contributing to an increase in visitor numbers, spending, and length of stay in Bà Nà in particular and Da Nang in general.
On the same day, the developer Sun Group also launched the Bà Nà Cable Car Line No. 9, with a one-way length of 5,879 meters, comprising 154 cabins and a capacity of 2,900 passengers per hour, promising exclusive and premium experiences for visitors choosing to stay overnight at the mountain summit.
A megacomplex of ecotourism and urban development is shaping the future of Bà Nà—a destination already well known to global travelers—transforming it into a premier hub for entertainment, leisure, resort, and quality work-life experiences in Vietnam. As Mr. Nguyễn Văn Bình – Chairman of Sun Group Central Region – stated at the ceremony, this project, along with many other high-quality, world-class, and distinctive urban infrastructure developments, especially the upcoming Free Trade Zone, will contribute to transforming Da Nang into a leading regional hub of tourism, digital economy, logistics, and finance, affirming its position as a dynamic, modern coastal city deeply integrated into the global economic map.
Also on August 27, 2025, Da Nang City, in cooperation with Sun Group, held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the investment, construction, and operation of infrastructure at Functional Zone No. 5 of the Da Nang Free Trade Zone, laying the foundation for the establishment of Vietnam’s first Free Trade Zone.
