The 2nd free tourism information center at the international arrival is officially opened on 5th March 2014.With the area of 16 m2 and the total of investment cost is more 200 million VND, after the operation of the visitor center and the tourism information center at the domestic arrival at the beginning of 2013
The 2nd tourism information center was constructed rapidly as planned to improve the tourist service quality.
According to Mr. Tran Chi Cuong – Deputy Director of the Danang department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in July 2014, Danang will open 2 new routes Danang – Japan and Danang – Hongkong, so that the number of international tourists to Danang become higher. Therefore, the open of 2nd tourism information center at the Danang international airport will contribute to provide tourism publications to international tourists such as tourism map, brochure, and information of hotels, restaurants, travel agencies or tourist attractions…
Before, on 17th February, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh – Deputy President of the Danang’s People Committee had a meeting with the leader of the Danang international airport to discuss about the location of the 2nd center which contributes to promote the tourism image, to present the information and to support tourists.
At this meeting, as Mr. Nguyen Xuan Anh said, the city have combined with the Ministry of Transport for the preparation of the Danang international airport improvement and expansion phase 2 in order to enhance the capacity of serving 6-8 million tourists per year as well as of transporting commodities by air.
