New Year’s Eve fireworks – A moment that connects the entire city

One of the standout highlights of the Year of the Horse spring season is the New Year’s Eve fireworks display, held simultaneously at multiple locations across Da Nang. Beyond the city center, the celebrations extend to the heritage space of Hoi An, forming a seamless and emotionally resonant festive panorama.

According to plan, from 00:00 on February 17, 2026 (New Year’s Eve), six main fireworks sites in central Da Nang will illuminate the night sky for approximately 15 minutes. In addition, a fireworks site at the Con Bap Tourism Area (Hoi An Ward) expands the viewing experience—bringing the total number of fireworks locations citywide to more than six, stretching from the Han River urban area to the ancient town.

This citywide urban–heritage fireworks program not only marks a sacred moment of welcoming the new year, but also demonstrates Da Nang’s capacity to deliver synchronized, far-reaching, and meaningful events—where spring is not confined by spatial boundaries, but felt within a shared rhythm of life.

An extended spring festival season – Experiences continue beyond Tết

Rather than concentrating solely on the first days of the year, Da Nang’s spring festival season is designed to span throughout February and into early March 2026, offering flexible travel options. Signature events include: the Light & Heritage Festival at Ky Uc Hoi An Island; the Tulip Festival at Sun World Ba Na Hills; the God of Wealth Festival at Nui Than Tai Hot Springs Park; Lantern Festival (Nguyen Tieu); and traditional village and craft festivals such as the Tra Que “Cau Bong” Ritual, Tuy Loan Communal House Festival, early-year boat races, the Glutinous Corn Festival, and more.

These activities serve not only visitors but also attract strong local participation—helping sustain cultural continuity and spread the spirit of spring across the city.

A destination ecosystem open throughout Tết – Diverse spring travel experiences

During the holiday, many tourist sites, museums, and cultural landmarks across the city remain open continuously. From Ba Na Hills with its early-spring rituals, flower festivals, and multi-day experiences; to museums welcoming visitors from the first day of Tết; from traditional craft villages to eco-tourism and community-based tourism models in Hoa Vang and Son Tra—Da Nang presents a multi-colored tourism landscape suited to diverse traveler profiles and preferences.
