According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, on Giap Ngo Tet 2014, all tourist attractions welcomed a huge number of residents and visitors to entertain and relax.
In which, many destinations as Ba Na Hills with more than 30,400 visitors (up to 84.5 % over the same period in 2013), Son Tra Peninsula with 27,000 visitors (up to 8 %), Marble Moutains welcomed more than 13,700 visitors .
In particularly, the completion and putting into operation of Linh Chua Linh Tu Temple to serve tourists on Tet holiday have become the highlights for spiritual tourism of Ba Na Hills. At Son Tra peninsula, both “Admiring the wildlife tour ” and ” One day fishing with fisherman, snorkeling around the Son Tra Peninsula tour ” which have been sharply put into operation during Tet also attractted many tourists. The other tourist area like Hoa Phu Thanh, Luong stream, Hoa stream also welcomed from 1,500 to 3,000 tourists … As result, the total number of visitots during Giap Ngo Tet estimated at more than 83,600 passengers, up to 3.8 % compared with the same period in 2013.
At the hotels, thanks to promotional activities, the number of tourists staying Danang also increased significantly. For the 3-5 star hotels, used room capacity was estimated at over 57 %, the used room capacity of 4-5 star hotels especially was at over 75 %. In particular, from 2nd to 5th day of Tet, all the 4-5 stars resorts, seaside villas and some 3 -star hotels as Vian , Minh Toan , Sunriver , Orient , Luxury , Trendy … the estimated capacity was 95-100 % . Meanwhile, in the 4-5 star hotels in the city center as Novotel , Hoang Anh Gia Lai , Green Plaza , Brilliant , Eden Plaza … capacity was 50-55 % . The total number of visitors staying on Tet estimated 53,700 passengers, up to 25.7 % compared with the same period in 2013, including 26,700 domestic visitors, an increase of 26.4 % over the same period in 2013 and 27,000 international visitors, an increase of 34.4 % compared with the same period in 2013, mainly from China, Korea, Australia, USA, Thailand, overseas Vietnamese and some European countries.
