Since August 2015, a total of 80 hotels, guest houses, coffee shops and restaurants across Da Nang have offered free use of their restrooms to domestic and foreign visitors. These tourism service providers display the ‘Comfort as Home’ slogan on their doors. The aim of the scheme is to provide toilet facilities for visitors to the city, as well as to encourage an image of the city being helpful and friendly towards visitors to stimulate tourism.
The Head of Hai Chau District’s Culture-Information Office, Mr Mai Cong Nghi, said that 6 months after the launch of the scheme by the district’s Business Association, the free toilets programme has received much appreciation from visitors on social networking websites. He said this scheme will help visitors feel more comfortable and satisfied with the city’s tourism services.
