On July 7, 2023, the Da Nang Department of Tourism held a press conference officially announcing Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2023 – “Wow Danang” series, which is the annual event diversifying and promoting sea-born tourism products, as well as bringing to tourists and local people many exciting, attractive, new and impressive activities in the summer season.
Taking place from July 28th to August 01st 2023, there are numerous amazing things to do in Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2023 – “Wow Danang”! Here are 11 activities that are outstanding and definitely worth taking note of:
“Enjoy Danang Summer Music Festival 2023” will be held at 19:30 on July 28, 2023, at Bien Dong Park, with a scale of more than 5,000 attendees. Many gifted singers and renowned artists are hosted, and the paragliding performance on beaches makes it a night to cherish. Witnessing everyone unite and relish the exceptional talent we have arranged will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience in the city by the Han River.
International – Vietnamese Food Festival (July 28 – August 01, 2023) with more than 50 booths of local, regional, and international cuisine. Here, visitors joining in the event can enjoy plentiful famous dishes such as Quang noodles, Banh xeo (Vietnamese pancakes), Cao Lau noodles, Pho, sweet soup, street food… and go sightseeing, shopping for souvenirs, agricultural products, food at the display space and selling OCOP products. Additionally, the traditional cakes-making experience space and the traditional craft village space are specific and must-try activities of the Enjoy Danang Summer Festival 2023 – “Wow Da Nang”.
Kites show (July 28 – August 01, 2023) featuring more than 30 aerodynamic kites, uniquely shaped flute kites. Paragliding performances on the beaches (July 28 – August 01, 2023) with more than 10 paragliding in the sky of Bien Dong Park will bring a colorful space, creating a new highlight at this Festival.
The Zumba flashmob (July 30, 2023) and Bikini Flashmob by Kids (July 28, 2023) bring an exciting atmosphere with Zumba dances, and adorable images of children attract locals and visitors to join in the dances.
The Danang Paragliding Open (29-30/7/2023) organizing at Ban Co Peak – Son Tra peninsula, Man Thai beach and Pham Van Dong Beach is 100 professional paragliding clubs studded competition bringing skillful technical performances and showing the beautiful the scenery of Danang from above.
The Sea Festival (29/7/2023) which is organized at Ha Khe Park with attractive games such as carrying-fish relay, shaking “thing,” sand rowing, tug of war underwater… and local community performances. In addition, citizens and visitors can join hands to participate in meaningful activities in the Beach Cleanup Day program – “Green Ocean” (July 29, 2023) at Nam Xuan Thieu Beach.
Visitors can capture impressive moments at the check-in space on the beach area of Bien Dong Park and Ha Khe Park (July 28 – August 01, 2023), with many unique decorative models such as jellyfish lamps, “thung”, surfboards…
In the framework of the Festival, a series of art performances (July 28 – August 01, 2023) will be held in the area of Bien Dong Park, Ha Khe Park, with attractive and exciting themes, such as the Ao dai show – “Colors of Da Nang Summer,” Fashion show – “Fairy Dance,” “Colors of the Sea” music show, traditional art show, and performances by DJs, dance groups, rappers.
At the same time, from 19h00 every weekend evening, there will be street performances on both sides of the Han River, such as street music, “Bai choi” games and performances, wind instruments performance, youth playgrounds (folk dance, street dance, hip hop)…
