Following instructions from the Da Nang People’s Committee (PC), a wide range of cultural activities and festivals will be held along both banks of the Han River to attract more visitors to the city, and the Han River Swing Bridge may be opened earlier than at present.
The municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will take responsibility for developing and organising attractive arts performances featuring the characteristics of traditional cultural identity and international integration. Importance will be attached to taking advantage of the local river tourism when developing these cultural activities and festivals.
The Hai Chau District PC will join efforts with the local Department of Information and Communications to develop a plan for the 2016 Da Nang Book Festival. The city’s Youth Union will make detailed plans for organising some modern arts programmes, including hip-hop and dancing contests, in order to create a healthy playground for local youths and teenagers.
The city’s Department of Transport will work closely with local relevant agencies to suggest the city authorities that the Han River Swing Bridge should be opened earlier than after midnight at weekends to attract more visitors.
