With the great joint efforts of the public and government in control and the prevention of the pandemic, the normal life pace has returned while the tourism industry in Da Nang has gradually recovered.
In response to the program “Vietnamese people travel Vietnam” of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Da Nang Department of Tourism in collaboration with the Danang Tourism Association has implemented many attractive stimulus tourism programs. Meanwhile, over 150 hotels, travel agencies, attractions, restaurants and spas also offer discounts up to 50%.
In addition, within June 2020, the tourism industry in Da Nang has boosted the TV promotion on VTV8 and Vinh Long Television THVL1 to raise tourist arrivals from key domestic markets such as Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Central Highlands and provinces in the Southwest region.
The Da Nang Department of Tourism has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vietnam Television Center in the Central Highlands region and Da Nang Television and Broadcasting Center to produce travel documentaries which highlight the goregous nature, friendly people, tourism products and cuisine of Da Nang on VTV8 and Danang TV.
The 30-second introductory tourism video of Da Nang has been broadcast on BBC Asia Pacific. The video will play on a daily basic for 1 month (June 2020) with 98 broadcasts at peak hours, namely 6h00-9h30, 9h30-17h00, 17h00-19h00, 19h00-24h00.
With these above-mentioned efforts, Da Nang expects to soon revitalize the tourism industry, and promises to offer visitors great experiences in Da Nang when the time is right.
