Da Nang Tourism Department has successfully organized the Da Nang Tourism Promotion 2017 in Hanoi with the participation of more than 100 travel agents and 35 press and media from Hanoi at 2.00 PM – 5.00 PM on 04 January, 2016 (Wednesday) at Nikko Hotel, Hanoi.
In recent years, Da Nang has been becoming a dynamid tourism city with many international events. From 2008 until now, the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition has marked a milestone in terms of “event” of Da Nang City. Da Nang has successfully organized and welcomed many international events such as Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2015-2016 (February 2016), Da Nang Beach-Leisure and M.I.C.E Travel Mart (June 2016), Asian Beach Games 5 (September 2016)…and the upcoming APEC 2017, contributing to branding Da Nang as a Destionation of Events and Festival.
Especilly, to support tourists when visiting Da Nang, the Danang FantastiCity Mobile App has officially operated from 2017 with the functions of providing information and planning trip at anytime without the Internet.
Events highlight in 2017:
Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2017 (DIFF 2017) “Shining Marble Mountains” is taking place from 29 April to 24 June, 2017, lasting for 02 months instead of 02 days last time. The event will last for 02 months with many attractive and vibrant activities to be more interactive with tourists, bringing more experiences as well as introduce the unique traditional culture of the people. The participating teams includes: Vietnam, Switzerland, China, Australia, Austria, Japan, The Great Britain and Italy. The event is expected to welcome more than 02 million tourist arrivals to Da Nang during summer 2017, branding Da Nang as a destination of Fireworks Festival within 10 years.
The Asia Golf Tourism Convention – AGTC 2017 is expected to take place in Da Nang, Vietnam from 07 to 13 May, 2017 at Ariyana Exhibition and Convention Center, Da Nang. This is an annual event of golf industry in a global scale organized by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO). This event includaes the Award Ceremony of theWorld Golf Industry to all countries and regions with significant achivements, voted by professional members of IAGTO, from golf tour operators from 60 different countries. This is the occasion for the golf industry to introduce the new golf courses, networking among the golf partners as well as hotels and accommodation.
