At the World Travel Awards 2026 Asia, Oceania and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony, held on September 27 in the Maldives, a number of tourism brands, attractions and accommodation establishments in Da Nang were recognized across multiple categories. In total, tourism products and businesses in the city received 13 awards, including seven Asia-level titles and six Vietnam-level titles.
This year’s ceremony took place at CROSSROADS Maldives on World Tourism Day, September 27, bringing together leading brands and organizations from across the tourism, aviation, hospitality, resort, travel and attraction sectors.
Seven Asia-level awards
At the Asia level, Da Nang’s tourism ecosystem was recognized across a diverse range of segments, from entertainment and cable cars to cultural resorts, integrated resorts and luxury hospitality.
Sun World Ba Na Hills received two titles: Asia’s Leading Theme Park 2026 and Asia’s Leading Cable Car 2026.
In the resort sector, Hoi An Memories Resort & Spa was named Asia’s Leading Cultural Resort 2026, while Hoiana Resort & Golf received the title of Asia’s Leading Fully Integrated Resort 2026. Shilla Monogram Danang was also honored as Asia’s Leading Lifestyle Resort 2026.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort continued to stand out in the luxury segment with two awards: Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort 2026 and Asia’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2026, the latter awarded to Bai Bac Bay Villa.
Altogether, tourism brands and products in Da Nang were recognized in seven Asia-level categories, spanning entertainment, culture, lifestyle and luxury travel.
Six more leading awards in Vietnam
Alongside the Asia-level titles, hotels, resorts and attractions in Da Nang were also honored in six Vietnam categories at the World Travel Awards 2026.
Four Points by Sheraton Danang was named Vietnam’s Leading Beach Hotel 2026, while voco Ma Belle Danang by IHG received the title of Vietnam’s Leading City Lifestyle Hotel 2026.
In the luxury resort segment, Beachfront Villa @ Naman Retreat was recognized as Vietnam’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2026, while InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was named Vietnam’s Leading Luxury Resort 2026.
In Hoi An, Hotel Royal Hoi An Danang received the title of Vietnam’s Leading Riverfront Hotel 2026. Meanwhile, Sun World Ba Na Hills was also honored as Vietnam’s Leading Theme Park 2026.
Overall, tourism businesses, attractions and hospitality products in Da Nang received 13 awards, comprising seven Asia-level titles and six Vietnam-level titles.
Recognition across a diverse tourism ecosystem
The range of categories in which Da Nang-based brands were honored highlights the diversity of the city’s tourism ecosystem. The awards span theme parks, cable cars, cultural resorts, integrated resorts, beach hotels, lifestyle hotels and high-end accommodation products.
Beyond its coastal areas and urban hotel network, Da Nang’s tourism space today connects a broad spectrum of experiences, from Ba Na Hills and Son Tra Peninsula to Hoi An and destinations in the southern part of the city, creating a diverse tourism offering that combines entertainment, culture, heritage and luxury resort experiences.
Vietnam was also recognized in several major Asia-level categories at the World Travel Awards 2026, including Asia’s Leading Destination 2026 and Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination 2026.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognizes achievements across the global travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Regional award ceremonies are held throughout the year, with winners later competing at the World level.
With 13 award categories presented to tourism brands and products operating in the city, the World Travel Awards 2026 adds another international milestone for Da Nang’s tourism sector, particularly in entertainment, resort and high-end hospitality experiences.
