As approaching the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, Da Nang City is proud to present a 3D Mapping film projection titled “Câu chuyện Đà Nẵng – The Story of Da Nang”. This unique event, taking place at the front façade of the Da Nang Museum, is a tribute to our city’s rich history and cultural heritage.

This innovative 3D Mapping film, utilizing cutting-edge projection technology, will illuminate the building’s façade with light and imagery. When paired with synchronized sound, this creates an engaging and immersive experience, bringing the city’s history to life in a way that has never been done before.

The film is divided into three captivating chapters, each offering a unique perspective on Da Nang’s formation and evolution through various historical periods:

– Part 1. The Origin of Da Nang: This segment illustrates the early development of the land and its inhabitants, delving into the historical progression from prehistoric times through ancient and medieval eras, with a focus on notable cultures such as the Sa Huynh, Champa, and Dai Viet.

– Part 2. The Heroic Struggle: This chapter reenacts the enduring resistance of the Da Nang people and their armed forces against Western colonial powers, specifically highlighting the French (1858–1954) and the American (1954–1975) interventions. It also showcases the initial phases of urban development within Da Nang.

– Part 3. Rising Strong: This portion reflects the city’s reconstruction and transformation following the liberation on March 29, 1975, illustrating significant milestones since it became a centrally governed city in 1997. It emphasizes Da Nang’s evolution in the context of international integration, highlighting its emergence as a key economic, cultural, and social center in both Vietnam and the broader region.

The 3D Mapping film “The Story of Da Nang” is a heartfelt homage to the visionaries and generations that preceded us, offering a unique and compelling tourism highlight in the city’s center. It aspires to foster widespread appreciation and enhance Da Nang City’s visibility, while promoting the Da Nang Museum at 42–44 Bach Dang and 31 Tran Phu to both domestic and international audiences.
