From 6 to 9 August 2026, the 2026 Viet Nam – Korea Festival in Da Nang will take place at East Sea Park, An Hai Ward, along with various accompanying events at other venues across the city.


Returning on a larger scale with a wide range of new activities, this year’s festival promises to offer a vibrant space for cultural, artistic, culinary, sporting and educational exchanges, while opening up further cooperation opportunities among localities, organisations, businesses and partners from Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea.
A key meeting point for Viet Nam – Korea exchange in Da Nang
First held in 2022, the Viet Nam – Korea Festival in Da Nang has become an annual international exchange event, attracting more than 40,000 residents and visitors.
Over the years, the festival has contributed to strengthening international cooperation, promoting investment, trade and tourism, and enhancing cultural and people-to-people exchanges between Da Nang and Korean localities, organisations and partners.
The 2026 edition marks the fifth time the festival has been held. It is expected to welcome representatives from numerous Korean localities, including Daegu, Pyeongtaek, Yongin, Osan, Gwangyang, Yeongam and Gurye, together with trade, tourism, cultural and content industry promotion organisations, as well as businesses, universities and artistic troupes from Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea.
More than 90 agencies, organisations and businesses have registered to participate in the exhibition space, showcasing distinctive products, services and cultural features of the two countries.
More than 90 cultural, culinary and experiential booths
Throughout the festival, the Viet Nam – Korea Festival Space at East Sea Park will feature more than 90 booths introducing the culture, cuisine, tourism products, goods and services of Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea.
Residents and visitors can explore:
- An exhibition highlighting cooperation achievements between Da Nang and its Korean partners;
- A traditional art exhibition featuring Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea;
- A Viet Nam – Korea cultural experience space;
- Booths showcasing distinctive products, services and cuisines;
- The Gwangyang Media Art Lab digital art exhibition at the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum.
The festival space will not only provide opportunities to discover the distinctive cultures of the two countries but also allow visitors of all ages to participate directly in a variety of interactive and exchange activities.
Four nights of vibrant cultural and artistic exchange
A major highlight throughout the four-day festival will be a series of Viet Nam – Korea cultural and artistic exchange programmes featuring artists and art troupes from both countries, including the Gwangyang K-pop troupe, art troupes from Daegu and Yeongam, and performing arts organisations from Da Nang.
The programmes will combine traditional and contemporary art forms. In particular, a joint performance by the Da Nang Traditional Arts Theatre and the Yeongam art troupe from the Republic of Korea is expected to become a highlight, celebrating the distinctive cultural values of both countries.
In addition to stage performances, residents and visitors can participate in a range of lively exchange activities, including:
- Samulnori percussion performances and experiences;
- Korean Sogo dance;
- Vietnamese bamboo dancing;
- K-pop Random Dance;
- The final round of the Viet Nam – Korea Talent Competition: K-pop Dance;
- A mass performance of Vietnamese traditional martial arts and Taekwondo;
- A Viet Nam – Korea cooking competition.
Artificial intelligence conference and new cooperation opportunities
One of the festival’s key events will be the conference “Meet Korea in Da Nang 2026: Artificial Intelligence – A New Driver for Growth and Development”, taking place on the afternoon of 7 August 2026 at Furama Resort Da Nang.
The conference is expected to welcome more than 200 delegates representing agencies and organisations, along with approximately 100 Korean businesses. The programme will feature two thematic discussion sessions:
- Policies and orientations for developing an AI ecosystem to support socio-economic development;
- Cooperation in promoting innovation and AI applications.
Delegates will discuss AI development and application trends, human resource training, research and technology transfer, innovation and the development of digital content industries.
The conference is also expected to include the presentation of a Memorandum of Understanding promoting friendship and cooperation between Da Nang and Osan City in the Republic of Korea, as well as a cooperation agreement between the University of Foreign Language Studies – The University of Da Nang and Hanbat National University.
Film, education and sports exchanges
The 2026 Viet Nam – Korea Festival in Da Nang will also expand exchange activities across various fields.
Korean Film Days in Da Nang will be held at CGV Vincom Da Nang, bringing Korean cinema closer to local audiences.
A programme introducing Korean culture, educational environments and study-abroad opportunities will feature nearly 20 Korean universities and educational institutions. It will provide students in Da Nang with opportunities to learn about academic programmes, scholarships, campus environments and study-abroad pathways.
The festival will also feature several sporting activities, including the First Da Nang Diplomatic Friendship Golf Tournament, a Viet Nam – Korea friendly football exchange and a mass performance of Vietnamese traditional martial arts and Taekwondo.
In particular, an exchange programme with former Korean national footballers Park Joo Ho and goalkeeper Lee Woon Jae promises to offer inspiring stories about sport, determination and friendship between the two countries.
