The Da Nang Tourist Cyclo Team has operated since 2003 and is well-known for its courteous and non-competitive service style. It is managed by the Da Nang City Tourism Promotion Center, ensuring that the team’s 83 vehicles are stylishly designed, consistently color-coordinated, and immaculately clean.
These vehicles are made of stainless steel and have a comfortable red seat cushion and canopy. In addition, the Cyclo Team’s members are well-versed in traffic laws, proficient in foreign languages, and possess extensive knowledge of the city’s attractions. The team participates in annual foreign language, cultural, and behavior training courses organized by the Tourism Promotion Center to improve their skills and provide quality services to tourists.
The Da Nang tourist cyclo has earned a reputation for its warm, enthusiastic, and welcoming service, making it a beloved attraction for visitors from both near and far, especially international tourists. It offers a unique way to discover the city’s hidden gems, such as the Han River, Dragon Bridge, Han River Bridge, Cham Sculpture Museum, APEC Park, Han Market, and the Cathedral (Nha Tho Con Ga) while savoring local cuisine.
Before the Covid-19 pandemic, the tourist cyclo was a popular choice among tourists. At least one cyclo would take 2-3 trips daily, especially among cruise passengers visiting Da Nang. Despite the current decline in visitor numbers, the tourist cyclo still warmly receives a notable number of international travelers daily.
Cyclo has been a popular mode of transportation for tourists and events in Da Nang for quite some time now. Besides that, it has also become a trendy option for couples who wish to make their weddings memorable by organizing a bridal procession on a cyclo.
