Da Nang – Hoi An: When is the best time of the day to visit the attractions!?
Da Nang – Hoi An is a favourite destination of young generation with lots of angles for luxurious, beautiful, cool and most-liked photos. However, not everyone would be sure about the best time to hang out and catch the best shots.
Let’s take some tips for the best time to visit attractions in Danang and Hoian with Phan Hang and Danang FantastiCity!
“Unless you want to shoot backlit against sunset and sunrise or other artistic shoots, let’s hang out when the attractions are facing the sun or a bit to the side for better lighting (any side with or near the sun will be white) ” Phan Hang stated.
1. Morning (from 7am onwards):
– Dragon Bridge, Love Bridge, Carp-Dragon Statue, Danang Church: As Love Bridge and Dragon Bridge are located on the east bank of the Han River, taking photos to the west in the morning allows photographers to get a panoramic view of the city center, Han River and blue sky.
– Helio Night Market: It sounded weird to visit the night market in the morning but the decor of the Mediterranean Beach Studios there is super nice.
– Hoi An Ancient Town: The old town is always gorgeous at all time. Still, it would be less crowded, more peaceful and nicer to take photos there in the early morning. Most shop will open after 8am.
Moreover, it is cooler and so nice to be there in the morning. The afternoon was crowded and stuffy.
Faifo Cafe Hoi An: If you are passionate about coming here to check in the corner of the legendary balconies, the morning is the best time. It was just a little dazzled.
2. Noon:
You should visit café with beautiful décor with the sea view to the sea or Danang Bay.
Both in An Bang and Da Nang, I visited café at noon when the sky would be bluest, while the sea were sparkling, making good backdrop for nice photos. More importantly, it will be cooler within the café than hanging out.
Of course, it is a must to choose a restaurant that has both indoor and outdoor views in case it is so hot.
The Deck house in An Bang, it’s nice to go there late in the afternoon. At this time people put all the shelters down for open-air space. Still, I prefer umbrellas, since it’s … beautiful.
3. Afternoon
In August, there are rains around 2h-3pm in Danang. Even if without rain, it will be quite sunny. Therefore, everyone should rest indoor until 4 o’clock then going out.
– World Wonders Park: this place got different vibes in the morning and afternoon. However, it’s so nice to visit there in the afternoon for photoshoot and sunset viewpoint.
In the west of Danang Golden Bay Hotel, there is a huge and open space to view the perfect sunset.
– Son Tra Peninsula: (Blue Lake, Linh Ung Pagoda, Bai Rang, Obama Rock Beach, Ghenh Bang, Lighthouse, Chess Peak, or simply watching the coastal paths..) it’s chiller to be there in the afternoon when the sunlight is not too harsh. The way to the peninsula in the afternoon is super nice also.
– Sun World Danang Wonders: the best time to visit there is afternoon. First, you could take some nice photos when the sun is still on while you could enjoy Sunwheel and the view of Danang after the city lights are on.
– Beaches: it’s cool and crystal blue.
- Evening
– I love sparkling Danang with lots of bridges at night.
– Hoi An Ancient Town: it’s very crowded yet beautiful to visit there in the evening, be on the boats and watch colordul lanterns.
Above are some of my sharings with personal perspectives, hope they would be useful for newcomers to Danang. Wish you all would have great photos and have a great time!
Costume tips:
“Actually, this is up to personal taste. But if you search in advance to choose the right place for the scene or color, the image will be much better. Usually, to special backdrop like the Angkor Wat area at Sun World Danang Wonders, I will choose clothes with similar tones of colours. However, if the scene is kind of general, I will go for colors matching one of the details of the scene. In case there is no clothes with the same colors, red and yellow are the best to go. For any trip, I will mix and match my outfit with accessories such as scarf, caps and rings to get the best look… ”

Would this be a nice mix and match?
