On Tuesday, the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, Mr Dang Viet Dung, visited the Phuong Trang and East Sea Park competition venues to check the preparations for the 5th Asian Beach Games (ABG5).
During his visits, Vice Chairman Dung stressed the need for relevant agencies to welcome, transport and serve VIP guests professionally before, during and after ABG5. One focus will be on expanding entrance roads to the main stage at the East Sea Park, and displaying competition schedules at the competition venues in order to allow locals and visitors to follow up the international games.
Security and traffic safety have been ensured at the competition venues and accommodation establishments before and during the event.
He remarked that ABG5 will be the golden opportunity for the city to advertise its beautiful images to international friends.
The ceremonies to hoist the flags of the participating countries will take place at 2.00pm on 22 and 23 September at the East Sea Park.
