Ahead of the surge in travel demand during Vietnam’s National Day holiday on September 2, Vietnam Airlines Group is adding 60,000 seats across its network while prioritizing resources for routes connecting Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with high-demand destinations, including Da Nang. The additional capacity will provide travelers with more flight options during the holiday period.
During the National Day peak period, Vietnam Airlines Group, comprising Vietnam Airlines, VASCO and Pacific Airlines, is expected to offer nearly 725,000 seats across its network after adding 60,000 seats to meet rising travel demand. More than 3,600 flights will be operated during this period, up 25% compared with the same period last year.

Da Nang Among Destinations Prioritized for Additional Capacity
Under the operating plan, Vietnam Airlines Group will prioritize additional resources for routes between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City and high-demand destinations such as Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Hue, Da Lat and Phu Quoc.
Da Nang’s inclusion among the destinations prioritized for additional resources during the National Day peak period will give travelers planning a trip to the city more flight options for the September 2 holiday, particularly on routes departing from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Following the peak summer travel season, domestic air travel demand remains high, with the National Day holiday being one of the periods when demand for short getaways and visits to family and friends increases. According to Vietnam Airlines, bookings on many routes have risen rapidly since early August. The early addition of capacity is intended to provide passengers with more choices on high-demand routes.

For travelers choosing Da Nang during this period, a trip can combine a beach holiday with nature exploration, culture and heritage, cuisine, entertainment, as well as a wide range of events and activities taking place during the National Day holiday, allowing visitors to enjoy a more diverse journey rather than focusing on just a few individual attractions.
“Welcome Autumn” Promotion Offers Up to 25% Off for Group Travelers
Alongside the additional flights, Vietnam Airlines continues to offer its “Welcome Autumn” promotion across a variety of routes.
Under the program, passengers traveling in groups on domestic routes can receive discounts of up to 25% on airfares. On international routes, round-trip fares start from VND 4.95 million, including taxes and fees, on a range of journeys to Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, Europe, the United States and Australia, subject to the program’s terms and conditions.
During the peak period, Vietnam Airlines also recommends that passengers proactively complete check-in before their flights via the airline’s website, mobile application or self-service kiosks at airports. Passengers can also use the check-in and electronic verification features with biometric identification on the VNeID application to reduce the time required for security procedures and boarding.
With additional capacity and resources prioritized for routes to high-demand tourism destinations, including Da Nang, travelers have more options to proactively plan their National Day holiday on September 2. For a smoother journey, passengers are advised to monitor flight schedules and fare conditions and book early through the airline’s official channels.
