Da Nang, Vietnam – Fusion Resort & Villas Da Nang proudly presents Da Nang Chef Battle 2026, a MasterChef-inspired culinary competition bringing together some of Central Vietnam’s most talented chefs for an unforgettable evening of creativity, technique, and gastronomic excellence.
Held at CHAR Grill House on 4 July 2026, the event will feature six renowned chefs competing in a live culinary battle where both teams will work with the same ingredients under the same rules, yet produce completely different creations.
The competition will see The Red Team represented by Chef Pedro Goizueta from Seedeats, Chef Curtis Demyon from Westwood, and Chef Nakamura Taka from Sushi Be, competing against The Blue Team, featuring Chef Olivier Corti from Le Comptoir, Chef Vien Le from CHAR Grill House, and Chef Sohan Singh Bisht from RANG. Together, these chefs represent some of the most respected culinary destinations in Da Nang.
Chef Pedro Goizueta contributes his Michelin-starred training and entrepreneurial spirit, while Chef Curtis Demyon brings more than 28 years of international culinary experience across Canada, the United States, and Vietnam. Chef Nakamura Taka is renowned for his authentic Japanese omakase craftsmanship and philosophy of delivering happiness through every piece of sushi. On the opposing side, Chef Olivier Corti is celebrated for his refined French cuisine at Michelin-recognized Le Comptoir, Chef Vien Le leads the fire-inspired dining experience at CHAR Grill House, and Chef Sohan Singh Bisht has earned acclaim for reimagining Indian cuisine through his Michelin Bib Gourmand-awarded restaurant, RANG.
Beyond the competition, guests will enjoy an elevated dining experience featuring curated wine pairings, a special dessert delight by Victor C. Savall, handcrafted cocktails by Guest Shift Bartender Enzo, live entertainment by Rattle Band from Australia, and event hosting by Tracie May from the US.
