This summer, amid the vibrant energy of Da Nang’s coastal atmosphere and the dazzling nights of the Danang International Fireworks Festival, a very different artistic experience awaits those seeking a deeper connection with culture, memory, and emotion.

If fireworks are moments of brilliance lighting up the sky above the Han River, then GOm Show – The Sound of Ceramics is a quiet journey that reaches into the heart, awakening memories and emotions through the most original sounds of Vietnam.
When Ceramics Begin to Speak

GOm Show is a contemporary musical and cultural art project inspired by Vietnam’s rich ceramic heritage. More than a performance, it creates an immersive space where sound, memory, and cultural identity come together through a modern artistic language.
The sounds of GOm are created from familiar materials such as ceramic jars, fired clay, bamboo, earth, and a collection of innovative instruments developed over many years by the Đàn Đó artistic collective. Objects that once belonged to everyday life are transformed into musical voices, connecting people with nature, history, and the cultural roots of Vietnam.
A Journey Through Memory, Nature, and Human Emotion
GOm Show unfolds through a series of chapters: Return, Those Days, Flowing Downstream, Finding Hani, Understanding the Earth, Tides, Transformation by Fire, and GO…m. Each chapter explores a different aspect of life, culture, and human experience through sound rather than words.
Audiences are invited to discover stories of the earth, traditional craft villages, rivers carrying memories, folk songs, and the voices of Vietnam’s ethnic communities. Cultural elements from groups such as the M’nông, Tày, Lô Lô, Nùng Dín, Ê Đê, and Hà Nhì are woven together into a rich artistic tapestry that remains authentic and deeply rooted in local traditions.
Rather than relying on dramatic effects or conventional storytelling, GOm Show guides audiences through feeling and reflection, allowing each person to find their own connection to culture, nature, and themselves.
Unique Instruments Found Only in GOm

One of the most distinctive features of GOm Show is its collection of original instruments crafted from ceramics and natural materials.
Audiences will encounter extraordinary creations such as the Ceramic Bass Drum (Trống Chum), Trống Lãng, Đàn Niêu, Boat Zither (Đàn Thuyền), Ang Xoay, and Ceramic Chimes (Chiêng Sành). Each instrument possesses its own sonic character, producing sounds inspired by the earth, water, and the rhythms of traditional life, resulting in a musical experience that is both innovative and deeply familiar.
A Moment of Stillness Amid Festival Season
Taking place just before the Final Night of the Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, GOm Show offers visitors a unique cultural experience during their stay in Da Nang this July.

Rather than overwhelming audiences with spectacle, GOm invites them to slow down, listen, and reconnect with the original sounds of Vietnamese culture. It is an opportunity to connect more deeply with oneself, with loved ones, and with the destination being explored.
