On 20 October 2026, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism hosted a tourism presentation and business networking event in Singapore, welcoming more than 40 guests. Attendees included Mr Tran Phuoc Anh, Ambassador of Viet Nam to Singapore; more than 20 leading Singapore-based partners in tourism, aviation, travel services and MICE; and representatives of 11 tourism businesses from Da Nang.
Held in a relaxed networking setting, the event provided opportunities for businesses from both sides to meet, discuss market needs, showcase products and explore cooperation. Discussions generated ideas and directions for joint promotional activities, product development and efforts to attract visitors from Singapore, while extending connections across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.

At the event, Da Nang presented its signature tourism products and experiences, tourism development priorities and partner support policies, particularly for the MICE sector. Under the message “Return to Origins”, the city showcased a destination that brings together beach holidays, cultural heritage, nature, cuisine and experiences rooted in local life. Guests also enjoyed dishes reflecting the flavours of Da Nang, prepared by a talented chef, offering a taste of the destination’s identity through its cuisine.

In the first nine months of 2026, Da Nang welcomed 105,305 visitors from Singapore, an increase of approximately 37.3% compared with the same period in 2025, already surpassing the total for the whole of 2025. Visitor numbers rose sharply in March and June, with June recording the highest monthly figure at 17,672.
Singapore holds strategic importance for Da Nang’s tourism promotion, serving as both a promising source market and a regional tourism and business hub. Its extensive network of travel companies, airlines and international event organisers enables Da Nang to connect with partners whose customer bases and distribution channels span multiple markets. Promotional activities in Singapore therefore aim to attract local travellers while expanding Da Nang’s presence in international travel itineraries.

Following the networking event, on 21–22 October 2026, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism joined the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism at the Viet Nam tourism pavilion at ITB Asia 2026. At the pavilion, the Da Nang delegation engaged with more than 300 partners, presenting tourism products, sharing destination updates and exploring opportunities to bring visitors to the city.
ITB Asia is a travel trade show connecting destination promotion organisations, accommodation providers, airlines, travel companies and buyers across the leisure, MICE and corporate travel sectors. Participation offers Da Nang opportunities to gain insights into market demand, strengthen relationships with existing partners and explore new distribution channels.

These activities in Singapore support Da Nang’s tourism development direction, shifting the focus from growth in visitor numbers towards greater quality, value and effectiveness. The city is prioritising partnerships in MICE, wellness tourism, culinary experiences, and cultural and nature-based travel, with the aim of increasing visitor spending, length of stay and repeat visits.
With the support of the Embassy of Viet Nam in Singapore, businesses and partners, Da Nang continues to advance cooperation that links tourism promotion with product and market development, helping build a stable, high-value international visitor base and deliver lasting benefits for the destination.
