On the morning of June 29, 2026, the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026, jointly organized by the Da Nang People’s Committee and Sun Group, officially announced the two outstanding teams that will compete in the Grand Final on the evening of July 11, 2026.
With the unanimous agreement of the judging panel—comprising artists, art experts, and the festival’s consulting partner, Global2000—Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd. (China) and Macedos Pirotecnia (Portugal) secured their places in the DIFF 2026 Final.

The decision was based on the judging criteria applied to each performance, including: originality, design concept and alignment with the theme; creativity, diversity, and richness of fireworks effects and color intensity; music selection and synchronization between music and fireworks; finale and overall performance quality; as well as the judges’ overall emotional impression and evaluation.
Representing China, the reigning DIFF 2025 champion once again demonstrated why it is regarded as one of the world’s leading fireworks powerhouses with its performance titled “Flower of the Orient.” The display received high praise for its technical excellence, grand scale, and remarkable storytelling through light. Throughout the performance, the team created multilayered visual effects that transformed the Han River skyline into a vibrant artistic stage, featuring dynamic rhythms, constantly evolving colors, and emotionally powerful climactic moments. The seamless combination of cutting-edge pyrotechnic technology and creative vision impressed both the judges and thousands of spectators.
Meanwhile, Portugal made a remarkable return after winning the Most Creative Award at DIFF 2025. The team once again captivated audiences with its poetic and distinctly European artistic style. Its fireworks were choreographed like a symphony of light, delicately blending music, colors, and rhythm to tell deeply emotional stories. During the “Vision” competition night, Portugal left a lasting impression by creating the image of Vietnam’s iconic bamboo hedges in the sky while the song “Dong Mau Lac Hong” played in the background. Through its masterful use of aerial space and innovative visual effects, the Portuguese team delivered one of the highest-rated performances of the season, offering DIFF 2026 audiences a truly unique visual experience.
DIFF 2026 has been widely regarded as the festival’s most competitive “all-star” edition, bringing together some of the world’s finest fireworks teams with exceptional expertise and world-class standards. Every competition night was considered a “final before the final,” delivering spectacular, innovative, and emotionally engaging performances that made the race for the championship more unpredictable than ever. The outstanding quality of both the competing teams and the festival’s artistic productions has been a major attraction, contributing to consecutive sold-out grandstands. The growing popularity of DIFF 2026 further reinforces the festival’s international reputation after being recognized by Travel + Leisure as one of the Top 9 Festivals Worth Experiencing on the Planet, continuing to position Da Nang as a premier destination for both domestic and international visitors.
Commenting on the two finalists, Major General and musician Nguyen Duc Trinh, President of the Vietnam Musicians’ Association and a member of the judging panel, said:
“The overall standard of this year’s competition has been exceptionally high. Almost every competition night has surprised the judges. Both China and Portugal have consistently surpassed themselves, returning each time with new ideas, advanced techniques, and innovative visual effects. DIFF has truly become a celebration of creativity, where every edition brings audiences fresh and unforgettable experiences.”
During the meeting, the Organizing Committee also conducted the draw for the performance order in the Grand Final. Portugal will perform first, followed by China.
Under the theme “Connecting Horizons,” the Grand Final promises to deliver breathtaking performances that reflect Da Nang’s vision and aspiration to reach further on the global stage.
The DIFF 2026 award system will also be announced during the Grand Final, including:

• DIFF 2026 Runner-up: USD 10,000, Trophy, and Certificate.
