On the afternoon of May 27, Team Da Nang (Vietnam) and Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Fireworks (China) were making final preparations for the opening night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026.
At the fireworks launch area along the Han River, engineers and technical experts from both teams were urgently completing installation work, checking technical systems, connecting equipment, and conducting rehearsals for their performance scenarios ahead of the opening night.
With years of experience competing at DIFF and a deep understanding of the Han River “home stage,” Team Da Nang has consistently delivered emotionally rich performances that strongly celebrate Vietnamese culture.
Up to now, Team Da Nang has completed more than 70% of the preparations for the opening night performance.
Opening this year’s DIFF under the theme “Nature,” Team Da Nang promises a spectacular display combining melodic music and vibrant fireworks effects to convey messages about the beauty of nature in the hearts of Vietnamese people.
“Team Da Nang (Vietnam) has introduced many innovations this year in both technical execution and performance arrangement. We have selected a wider variety of fireworks with diverse colours tailored to each performance segment, aiming to create emotional moments and leave a lasting impression on audiences,” shared Mr. Nguyen Nhat Vu, Team Leader of Team Da Nang.
Meanwhile, representatives of the Chinese team stated that DIFF 2026 would be an opportunity to introduce modern equipment and a range of creative fireworks techniques that have never been used in previous festival seasons.
Most of the high-altitude fireworks installations have now been completed, while the remaining final preparations are progressing smoothly.
“We will connect fireworks with nature to create a remarkable performance, helping audiences better understand Eastern culture as well as Chinese culture,” said Mr. Liang Weiming, Team Leader of the Chinese team.
The Chinese team is fully prepared for the opening night of the fireworks festival.
