According to the Organizing Committee of the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV), journalist Hoang Thu Hang will serve as a member of the Critics Jury at this year’s festival.

Hoang Thu Hang is currently Head of the Culture Department at The Thao & Van Hoa (Sports & Culture), a publication of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA). With 24 years of experience at the newspaper, she has held a wide range of positions, from reporter and editor to editorial management, specializing in culture, arts, and creative industries.
Throughout her career, she has served as Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Cong Hien (Devotion) Awards, while also being a member of the Organizing Committee throughout the awards’ 20-year history. The Devotion Awards are widely regarded as one of Vietnam’s most prestigious honors in the fields of culture and the arts.
In addition, Hoang Thu Hang has been a long-standing member of the press and judging panels for several major cultural and entertainment awards, including Bai Hat Yeu Thich (Favorite Song), the Golden Kite Awards, and the Lan Song Xanh (Green Wave) Awards, contributing to the recognition of outstanding achievements in music, cinema, and the performing arts.
With extensive experience in cultural journalism and long-standing involvement in Vietnam’s arts and film community, Hoang Thu Hang’s participation as a member of the Critics Jury at DANAFF IV is expected to bring insightful, objective, and multidimensional perspectives to the evaluation of competing films.
DANAFF IV will take place from June 28 to July 4, 2026, in Da Nang under the slogan “DANAFF – Bridging Asia to the World,” bringing together filmmakers, artists, cinema professionals, and outstanding films from Vietnam, Asia, and around the world.
