Developing Night Entertainment in Danang in 2020
Da Nang People’s Committee assigns specific tasks to relevant departments to implement the orientation of developing night entertainment services in 2020, thereby raising tourism expenditure and tourists’ length of stay.
The People’s Committee of Da Nang offers a number of solutions to develop night services, thereby boosting the tourism spending and length of stay. On November 12, Da Nang Department of Tourism stated that People’s Committee leaders has also allocated specific tasks to related departments to put this orientation into practice.
Accordingly, the People’s Committee of Da Nang City assigned the Department of Culture and Sports to lead and coordinate with the Department of Industry and Trade, the People’s Committees of Hai Chau and Son Tra district and related departments to research and consult the City People’s Committee on experimental night services (i.e. karaoke, bar, club, cafe, restaurant, shopping, spa massage …) operating until 2am.
The experimental area for these recreation are Bach Dang and Tran Hung Dao street by the banks of the Han River; An Thuong tourist area; Vo Nguyen Giap – Hoang Sa and Nguyen Tat Thanh routes; the east of the 2/9 road (from APEC Park to Tran Thi Ly Bridge).
In particular, the People’s Committee of Da Nang requested departments to research, propose and soon invest in developing night tourism products in 2020. In accordance, the Department of Tourism is assigned to research and invest in international-standard beach together with 24/7 entertainment at Vo Nguyen Giap beach (from Ngo Thi Si street to Nguyen Van Thoai street) including bars, DJs, folk dance, flamenco, street music, teambuilding, light art …
Department of Culture and Sport is assigned to research, enhance and supplement cultural activities and events on the banks of the Han River. Department of Industry and Trade is in charge of researching and developing the stimulus program “Shopping week by night in Da Nang”; encouraging shopping malls to operate until 24h.
The People’s Committee of Da Nang also assigned the Department of Transportation to study and consult the City People’s Committee on organizing the Dragon Bridge to spit fire and water at 21:00 and the Han River Bridge to rotate at 23:00 every night, as well as allowing waterway cruise ships to operate up to 24:00 every night.
Meanwhile, the Son Tra District People’s Committee is assigned to research, upgrade and expand the Son Tra night market to become “Tran Hung Dao night street” (the section from Han River bridge to Dragon bridge); Ngu Hanh Son District People’s Committee is assigned to research and expand An Thuong tourist area along Vo Nguyen Giap Street to Nguyen Van Thoai Street.
Regarding Hai Chau District People’s Committee, the leader of Da Nang City People’s Committee assigned to complete and execute the plan “Walking Street – Bach Dang Night Market”; encourage investors in restaurants, bars, pubs, cafes, etc. in the riverside area on the east of the 2/9 Street (from APEC Park to Tran Thi Ly Bridge) to extend the night-time operation.
The People’s Committee of Da Nang City also requested all departments to support investors in implementing the projects: the cultural park in the south east of Memorial Statue (retailing area, pedestrian street, water music stage, hotel areas, shopping center); the complex serving the Danang International Fireworks Festival (shopping center, night food, water music, art show, lighting festival …).
“Bach Dang night market”; Duty free area and outlet in Hoa Vang; “Japanese night street” (in Xuan Thieu, Lien Chieu district); Nguyen Van Troi Bridge Park; International Cuisine Village (Cam Le district); Underground entertainment and shopping center at Son Thuy beach (Ngu Hanh Son district); 4 – 5-star cruise ships for catering and entertainment (art, bar …) in Danang Bay … are also projects that Danang People’s Committee suggest departments to assist investors in deploying and put into practice.
Im addition, Da Nang City People’s Committee assigned the Department of Construction, the Institute of Construction Planning, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the relevant units to publicize the vacant land of the city to inform and encourage investors to develop new new tourism products, trade centers, recreation areas, including night services.
