The fourth competition night of DIFF 2026 brought audiences on a remarkable journey under the theme “Creativity”, where fireworks transcended traditional performances to become stories told through light, music, and imagination.
Take a look back at the most memorable moments from the fourth competition night of DIFF 2026 – where bold ideas were transformed into breathtaking displays of light across Da Nang’s night sky.
The showdown between Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke GmbH & Co. KG (Germany) and Apple Pyrotechnics Co., Ltd (Macao, China) created two completely different artistic expressions above the Han River.
Making its DIFF debut, the German team presented “Pyrographics”, transforming Da Nang’s sky into a giant “painting of fire” drawn with fireworks. With a history spanning more than 150 years, the German representative impressed audiences with precisely programmed fireworks synchronized to every musical beat, combining golden willow effects, glittering crowns, silver brush strokes, and multi-break shells to create a visually striking and contemporary spectacle.

Meanwhile, the Macao (China) team transported audiences into a mythical world through its performance “Celestial Journey to the West.” Inspired by the classic literary masterpiece Journey to the West, the team combined orchestral music, electronic sounds, and spectacular water-based fireworks effects to recreate a magical adventure familiar to generations of viewers.
