On the afternoon of May 25, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi conducted an on-site inspection of preparations for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026.
DIFF 2026 will take place from May 30 to July 11 under the theme “Da Nang – New Rising Era”, featuring five qualifying competition nights and one grand finale night, with the participation of 10 international fireworks teams. The opening night will showcase performances by Team Da Nang – Vietnam and Team China.

Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi inspected the preparation work for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026.
According to the report, the DIFF 2026 grandstand has a capacity of more than 10,200 seats per night, increasing to over 17,000 seats for the final night. To date, approximately 90% of the grandstand and stage construction has been completed, with safety inspections and fire prevention and firefighting acceptance procedures expected to be finalized before May 27.
In addition, festival-related infrastructure and operational items, including the sound system along the Han River, fireworks launch area, media center, traffic management plans, security and public order arrangements, medical services, and environmental sanitation, are being urgently completed by relevant units.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism also reported that 212 journalists have registered to cover DIFF 2026. Promotional and communication activities are being widely implemented across digital platforms, airports, LED display systems, social media channels, and tourism promotion programs both domestically and internationally.

Following the inspection, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi requested the organizing committee, together with military forces, police, and relevant departments and agencies, to thoroughly review emergency exit arrangements and incident response scenarios to ensure absolute safety for residents and visitors throughout all fireworks nights. She also emphasized the need to strengthen efforts in maintaining security and public order, traffic safety, environmental sanitation, and urban beautification in service of the festival.
On this occasion, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Anh Thi also presented gifts to encourage the construction teams working at the grandstand and main stage area.
