On the afternoon of June 25, 2026, the Cinephiles Special Event, titled From the Classroom to the Film Ecosystem, took place at Dat Quang Hall, the University of Science and Education – The University of Danang, in an open and inspiring atmosphere.
The event was one of the key activities of the Cinephiles programme accompanying the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV), jointly organized by the University of Science and Education – The University of Danang and the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA).
he programme looked back on the development journey of Cinephiles through a range of meaningful initiatives implemented at the University of Science and Education – The University of Danang, including the Cinema Merry-go-round film screening and discussion series, the UED Film Club, and Cinephiles Lab.
During the event, speakers shared insights on film education, audience development, and the building of a sustainable film ecosystem at a time when Vietnam’s cultural industries are undergoing significant transformation.
More than simply an accompanying activity of DANAFF IV, the Cinephiles Special Event has laid the foundation for long-term connections between education, cinema, and the community, contributing to the promotion of film culture and the development of a new generation of film audiences in Da Nang.
