City Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control calls on tourism units, businesses and residents to seek for guests on flights with high-risk case of Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City.
On the afternoon of March 15, Mr. Huynh Duc Trung, Head of the Tourism Management Department (Da Nang Tourism Department) said that he had just received information from the Steering Committee for Prevention and Control of Covid-19 in Da Nang City about looking for people to fly with a high-risk case of Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, the high-risk case of Covid-19 in Ho Chi Minh City mentioned above went on flight TK 162 of Turkish Airways on March 8 from Istanbul (Turkey) to Ho Chi Minh City. Then he was on flight QH 1521 from Ho Chi Minh City to Phu Quoc at 14h10 on March 9 and flight QH 1524 from Phu Quoc to Ho Chi Minh City at 21h22 on March 13.
Later on, a flight attendant named N. who went on flights with this aforementioned high-risk case of Covid-19 and also took flight QH154 from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang. This flight attendant N. has been quarantined. The list of passengers traveling on this flight has also been provided to the authorities for investigation.
Previously there was the case of the 53rd patient (male, 53 years old, nationality of the Czech Republic, Ministry of Health announced on March 14) on flight QR970 and entering Tan Son Nhat airport (Ho Chi Minh City) on March 10. A number of guests on QR970 flight then took flight VN126 from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang (F1). These passengers have been quarantined in Hoi An (Quang Nam).
In order to ensure the quick search and zoning of the epidemic, Da Nang City Steering Committee for COVID-19 and the City Department of Tourism request units, travel businesses, hotels and guides to offer entry information of guests who have been on tour and staying at the hotel.
