The municipal-level Quan The Am (Avalokitesvara) Festival 2024, one of the four highlight cultural festivals in 2024 in Da Nang, is scheduled to take place from March 25 – 29 (from the 16th to 20th days of the second lunar month) at the campus of the Quan The Am Pagoda in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Hoa Hai Ward, and along neighbouring roads.

The opening ceremony of the festival will be held on the afternoon of March 26, whilst the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva procession will take place on the morning of March 28 and the closing ceremony of the festival at noon on March 29.
This year’s festival is expected to have 38 rituals, belief, religious, cultural – artistic, and physical training – sports activities.
Among them, there will be a number of new activities such as Avalokiteśvara meditation retreats with the participation of about 500 Buddhists, the first-ever Non Nuoc Ngu Hanh Son art photography contest, a writing contest about works displayed at the Van Hanh Library, a sketching competition about the Avalokiteśvara Festival, and the Olympic Run Day for Peace.
