Đà Nẵng – The City of Events and Festivals, twice honored by the World Tourism Organization as “Asia’s Leading Festival & Event Destination.”

The 2026 Danang Events and Festivals Calendar unfolds in the context of an expanded urban and cultural space, as the city puts on a vibrant festival attire stretching from the downtown area to the plains, the coastline, and the mountains.

A lively, bustling, and energetic atmosphere is spreading across Danang, promising a festival season more explosive than ever before.

Information is subject to change depending on actual conditions.

1. DANANG NEW YEAR FESTIVAL 2026

  • Location: Hai Chau, An Hai, Hoa Cuong, Hoi An Dong, Hoi An Tay, Ban Thach, Quang Phu Wards, and major tourist attractions.
  • Time: December 30, 2025 – January 3, 2026

The Danang New Year Festival 2026 features a series of highlighted activities, including New Year check-in spaces, the opening ceremony and art performances, creative art zones, culinary spaces, the countdown program, and the Danang Concert.

These activities take place at various locations throughout the city, creating a vibrant, dynamic, and highly engaging festive atmosphere to celebrate the transition into the new year.

2. BÍNH NGỌ LUNAR NEW YEAR FESTIVAL 2026 AND “OLD QUARTER TET MARKET” FOLK FAIR

  • Location: Hoi An Ward, Hoi An Tay Ward, Hoi An Dong Ward
  • Time: February 9–26, 2026

The Lunar New Year, with its rituals and traditions preserved through generations, holds a sacred meaning in Vietnamese life. In Hoi An, the traditional New Year atmosphere is vividly recreated with the spring flower festival and flower market, the Tet bamboo pole (cây nêu), along with traditional cultural activities, art performances, and sports events that reflect the vibrant spirit of early spring.

3. THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT AND HERITAGE

The Festival of Light & Heritage at Hoi An Memories Island unfolds as a distinctive experiential space where the timeless cultural values of Hoi An are reimagined and elevated through the language of contemporary art. Set against a heritage-rich backdrop, light, technology, and large-scale performance art are thoughtfully interwoven with traditional elements, creating a vivid and emotionally engaging journey for visitors.

Here, heritage is not merely preserved as a memory of the past, but comes alive in every movement, every performance, and every step of exploration. Each space becomes a cultural vignette, each experience a story told through light and art, allowing heritage to continue spreading in a fresh, approachable, and inspiring way.

More than a showcase event, the Festival of Light & Heritage is an immersive journey where tradition shines, bridging past and present through an experience that is deeply imbued with the spirit and identity of Hoi An.

4. HOI AN FULL MOON (NGUYEN TIEU) FESTIVAL 

  • Location: Hoi An Ward, Hoi An Tay Ward, Hoi An Dong Ward
  • Time: March 1–4, 2026

The Nguyen Tieu Festival in Hoi An, recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage, is one of the long-standing and important traditional festivals of the Hoi An community. It is both a festive occasion and a time for peace-seeking rituals, offerings, and prayers for prosperity at various heritage sites and assembly halls within the Hoi An Ancient Quarter.

5. WHALE WORSHIP FESTIVAL (CẦU NGƯ FESTIVAL)

The festival takes place across multiple locations:

  • February 2, 2026 – Ha Loc, Ngoc An, Long Thanh Hamlets (Tam Xuan Commune)
  • March 4–8, 2026 – Ha Khe Beach Park, Nguyen Tat Thanh Street
  • April 3–4, 2026 – Hoi An Dong Ward
  • May 22–23, 2026 – Lang Ong Ngu – Tan Hiep Commune

The Whale Worship Festival is a distinctive cultural tradition of coastal communities, associated with the belief in the Whale God (Cá Ông) and the folk art of Hát Bả Trạo. The festival is an occasion for fishermen to express gratitude to the deities while praying for favorable fishing seasons, calm seas, and safety during their voyages.

6. DA NANG HOLI FESTIVAL 2026

  • Venue: Furama Resort Da Nang
  • Date: March 7, 2026

With its vibrant festive atmosphere, open spirit, and positive energy, Da Nang Holi Festival 2026 is set to remain a standout experiential highlight within Da Nang’s series of international cultural and entertainment events. Designed as an open, immersive playground, the festival brings together colors, music, and emotions, creating dynamic and inspiring moments of connection for both domestic and international visitors.

7. DANANG INTERNATIONAL MARATHON 2026

  • Location: East Sea Park
  • Date: March 22, 2026

The Danang International Marathon will officially take place on March 22, 2026. The early-year weather offers pleasant conditions for runners to achieve new personal records. Danang is ready to welcome thousands of athletes from Vietnam and abroad to participate in one of the most beautiful marathon routes in the region.

With the stunning scenery of Danang, the race promises to be one of the must-run marathons of the year. The race distances include the marathon (42KM), half marathon (21KM), 5KM, and a 1.5KM kids’ run.

8. WORLD LEGENDS FOOTBALL FESTIVAL

  • Location: Hoa Xuan Stadium
  • Time: Late March 2026

This special cultural–sports event aims to promote the development of sports tourism in Danang. The festival brings together legendary football players and global football stars, creating a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere for fans.

9. FOLK MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL & LANTERN FESTIVAL

  • Location: Danang City
  • Time: Quarter 1 of 2026 (January to March)

A cultural space combining folk arts, lantern displays, and street performances.

10. QUAN THE AM FESTIVAL, MARBLE MOUNTAINS, DANANG CITY

  • Location: Quan The Am Pagoda compound, Ngu Hanh Son Ward; Su Van Hanh Street, Le Van Hien Street; and the route from Quan The Am Pagoda to Huong Son Pagoda (Ghenh Mountain)…
  • Time: April 4–7, 2026

The festival is one of Danang’s most significant folk events rooted in Buddhist beliefs, featuring key activities such as:
– The Celebration Day of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara (Quan The Am)
– The incense-offering ceremony commemorating Princess Huyen Tran
– The Spring Offering Ceremony praying for national peace and prosperity
– Religious programs (sutra recitation, discussions, dharma rituals, meditation sessions…)
– Folk art performances, singing, dancing, calligraphy
– Sports activities, and exhibitions showcasing paintings and photographs promoting the Marble Mountains Scenic Area.

11. IRONMAN 70.3 VIETNAM 2026

  • Location: City beaches and race routes
  • Time: May 10, 2026

IRONMAN 70.3 Vietnam 2026 – the world-class triathlon event that has become an annual hallmark of Danang – promises new challenges for athletes from many countries, where the intensity of competition blends with the breathtaking scenery along Vietnam’s stunning coastline.

12. DANANG FOOD TOUR FESTIVAL 2026

  • Location: An Hai Ward
  • Time: 20–24 May 2026

The festival offers a lively atmosphere with hundreds of distinctive dishes, ranging from Danang specialties and Vietnamese favorites to flavors from various cultures. Visitors can experience the cooking process firsthand and participate in many other unique art performances and activities.

13. THE 22nd HOI AN – JAPAN CULTURAL EXCHANGE

  • Location: Hoi An Ancient Quarter
  • Time: May 22–24, 2026

The event features prominent activities such as exhibitions, cultural, artistic, and culinary exchanges between Vietnam and Japan; a Cosplay Contest; the reenactment of the wedding procession of Princess Ngọc Hoa and merchant Araki Sotaro; Yosakoi dance group exchanges; kendo performances; and various sports exchange activities.

14. DANANG INTERNATIONAL FIREWORKS FESTIVAL 2026 (DIFF)

  • Location: Han River Port – Tran Hung Dao Street
  • Time: From May 30 to July 11, 2026

Scheduled to take place from May 30 to July 11, 2026, DIFF 2026 carries the theme “Da Nang – United Horizons”, telling the story of a new Da Nang with an expanded vision, a strong sense of identity, and dynamic cultural and tourism connections. The festival brings together 10 leading fireworks teams from Viet Nam and around the world, competing across six spectacular nights, creating dazzling summer skies and a vibrant festival atmosphere along the Han River.

15. ENJOY DANANG FESTIVAL 2026

  • Location: An Hai Ward
  • Time: June 2026

The Enjoy Danang Festival aims to promote the image of a dynamic, youthful, and culturally rich Danang. The event brings a lively atmosphere with diverse cultural and entertainment elements, inspiring visitors to explore the city in refreshing new ways. At the festival, visitors can immerse themselves in a joyful spirit, enjoy a wide range of experiences, and feel the vibrant rhythm of life in Danang.

16. DANANG ASIAN FILM FESTIVAL 2026 (DANAFF)

  • Location: Hai Chau Ward
  • ime: From June 28 to July 4, 2026

The 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF) 2026 will take place from June 28 to July 4, 2026, under the theme “A Bridge from Asia to the World.” As a prestigious cinematic event bringing together filmmakers, artists, and outstanding works from across the region, DANAFF continues to affirm Da Nang as a meeting point for cinema, a hub of creative exchange, and a cultural experience for film lovers.

17. VIETNAM – KOREA FESTIVAL 2026

  • Location: Hoi An Ancient Quarter
  • Time: July 2026

The Vietnam – Korea Festival is where the two cultures come together in a vibrant and lively setting. The event offers unique cultural, artistic, and entertainment experiences that visitors should not miss.

18. VIETNAM – JAPAN FESTIVAL 2026

  • Location: East Sea Park
  • Time: August 2026

The Vietnam – Japan Festival 2026 presents distinctive artistic expressions and inspiring entertainment experiences. A rich series of accompanying activities and diverse cultural–artistic exchanges create a vibrant festive atmosphere, while strengthening mutual understanding and deepening the friendship between the two nations.

19. DANANG INTERNATIONAL LANTERN FESTIVAL 2026

  • Location: Hoi An Ward, Hoi An Tay Ward, Hoi An Dong Ward
  • Time: September, 2026

Hoi An shines brilliantly in a vibrant artistic space created by lanterns from domestic and international organizations and localities. In addition, the festival features lantern-making competitions, art performances, cultural exchanges, exhibitions, and fashion shows incorporating lantern designs.

20. NGOC LINH GINSENG & INTERNATIONAL HERBAL FESTIVAL – DANANG 2026

  • Location: Danang City
  • Time: August 1–3, 2026

The festival offers a wide range of unique experiences, from exhibitions of Ngoc Linh ginseng and rare medicinal herbs to OCOP product trading spaces and experiential tours to ginseng–herbal regions. Specialized conferences and trade promotion programs provide collaboration opportunities for businesses and experts. At the same time, a series of cultural and artistic activities linked with the preservation of folk knowledge, connecting local communities and visitors, creates a vibrant festival atmosphere rich in local identity.

21. INTERNATIONAL SUP FESTIVAL

The festival promotes a positive, nature-connected lifestyle. Through a variety of engaging activities, the program helps affirm Danang’s image as a destination of unique, appealing, and culturally rich experiences—filled with vibrant energy throughout the summer of 2026.

22. BÍNH NGỌ MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2026

  • Location: Hoi An Ward, Hoi An Tay Ward, Hoi An Dong Ward
  • Time: September 23–26, 2026

The Hoi An Mid-Autumn Festival brings a series of vibrant cultural activities, including the Thiên Cẩu (Sacred Dog) dance competition, lion dance performances, traditional music and arts showcases, displays of classic Mid-Autumn feast trays, a dazzling lantern parade, and an enchanting lantern-lit night in the Ancient Quarter.

This festival honors traditional values, preserves the beauty of family culture, and evokes cherished memories of the Mid-Autumn celebrations of the past—expressed through the signature colors and spirit of the full-moon season.

23. DANANG CREATIVE ARTS WEEK 2026

The event contributes to diversifying creative activities, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to experience a Danang that feels both familiar and refreshingly new through unique artistic spaces.

24. PICKLEBALL PPA TOUR ASIA – VIETNAM CUP 2026

  • Location: Tien Son Sports Center & Tuyen Son Sports Village
  • Time: Late September – Early October 2026

The Pickleball PPA Tour Asia – Vietnam Cup returns with great excitement, following the remarkable success of the 2025 season—a year that set new records in athlete participation, professional quality, and community engagement. In 2026, the tournament promises even more thrilling competitions, gathering top players from across the region in a professional and inspiring competitive atmosphere.

25. ACTIVITIES CELEBRATING VIETNAM CULTURAL HERITAGE DAY

  • Location: Hoi An Ancient Quarter
  • Time: November 23 – December 7, 2026

The series of activities commemorates the 27th anniversary of Hoi An Ancient Town being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage site (December 4, 1999 – 2026), and the 9th anniversary of the Bai Choi Art of Central Vietnam being inscribed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (December 7, 2017 – 2026). The program promises a profound and colorful heritage journey for residents and visitors, featuring outstanding activities such as exhibitions, showcases, a cross-country run, Bai Choi art performances, and free admission to the Ancient Quarter.

26. DA NANG CHRISTMAS MARKET 2026

Da Nang Christmas Market presents a warm and vibrant Christmas atmosphere in the heart of the coastal city, inspired by the European Christmas market tradition with beautifully decorated stalls, a central Christmas tree, and sparkling festive lights. More than a shopping and dining destination, the event serves as an emotionally rich year-end experience, where locals and visitors come together to enjoy the Christmas season in a youthful, modern, and welcoming setting.

27. DANANG NEW YEAR FESTIVAL 2027

  • Time: December 2026 – January 2027

The Danang New Year Festival 2027 promises a lively and inspiring atmosphere, where every moment becomes a cherished memory for both visitors and residents.
