On the morning of November 1, 2025, Sun PhuQuoc Airways officially launched its inaugural flights to Phu Quoc Island, marking the beginning of operations for Vietnam’s first resort airline.
The Vietnamese sky welcomed a new pair of wings this morning as Sun PhuQuoc Airways (SPA), a member of Sun Group, officially commenced commercial operations.
At exactly 7:15 a.m., the airline’s first commercial flight, numbered 9G1203, took off from Noi Bai International Airport, carrying 220 passengers to the Pearl Island of Phu Quoc aboard an Airbus A321. Shortly after, flights 9G1969 (08:50–09:50) from Ho Chi Minh City and 9G2969 (08:35–10:20) from Da Nang also departed, all heading toward Phu Quoc — in line with Sun Group’s strategic commitment to accompany the island’s growth and help transform Phu Quoc into an attractive international destination and a new aviation hub in the region.

Among the inaugural flights, the Da Nang – Phu Quoc route was a special celebratory flight for the grand opening and is expected to enter regular operation in March 2026.
Meanwhile, three domestic routes — Phu Quoc – Hanoi, Phu Quoc – Ho Chi Minh City, and Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City — were officially launched for regular operation starting November 1, 2025 by Sun PhuQuoc Airways.
