On the morning of January 8, the Da Nang People’s Committee and Sun Group held a press conference at the Novotel Danang Premier Han River to announce the Danang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 and several exciting accompanying events. This year’s festival will transform Da Nang into a lively center of attention during the summer.
DIFF 2025, from May 31 to July 12, 2025, under the inspiring theme “Đà Nẵng – Kỷ Nguyên Mới” or “Danang – The New Rising Era,” marks the 50th anniversary of Danang’s liberation. This significant milestone symbolizes a decisive transition, showcasing the city’s aspirations and unwavering determination for growth, paving the way toward prosperity and a prominent place on the global tourism map.
At the recent launch press conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “It is our honor to officially announce the DIFF 2025, along with its accompanying events. We are confident that through the collaborative efforts of the city’s departments and agencies, and with the commitment, expertise, and resources provided by Sun Group and its esteemed partners, DIFF 2025 will achieve remarkable new milestones of success.”
NEW AND UNIQUE HIGHLIGHTS OF DIFF 2025
DIFF 2025 promises to be the longest and largest edition in the festival’s history, showcasing the brilliance of 06 magnificent firework nights and welcoming 10 extraordinary teams from Vietnam, Finland, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Poland, Republic of Korea (ROK), Italy, Canada, and People’s Republic of China (PRC).
The opening night on May 31 will ignite excitement as Vietnam 1 faces against Finland, celebrating the theme “Cultural Essence”. For the first time, we will witness two teams from Vietnam passionately competing in DIFF. Following this, fireworks nights will light up the sky on Saturdays in the weeks ahead, culminating in a spectacular finale.

Each fireworks night will feature dynamic live concerts showcasing performances by renowned domestic and international artists. The event promises a mesmerizing blend of fireworks, music, and cutting-edge technology designed to exceed visitor expectations.
Ms. Cao Ngan Ha, Head of Marketing at Sun Group, shared some innovative ideas to make DIFF 2025 stand out. She stated, “This year’s artistic format for DIFF will be particularly youthful, dynamic, and trend-setting. We plan to collaborate with leading event organizers in Vietnam to host large-scale music concerts that are very popular with audiences. Additionally, we will partner with brands to create artistic events that integrate with the firework display nights.”
For the first time, the Sun Paradise Land app will incorporate augmented reality (AR), inviting visitors to immerse themselves in a limitless world of imagination and creativity beneath Da Nang’s fireworks-lit sky. This innovative technology will enhance the fireworks viewing experience with spectacular virtual reality displays lasting 30-60 seconds, interactive kits, and unique opportunities for virtual matchmaking for singles through AR.
The venue remains unchanged from 2024, with the fireworks launching area positioned at Han River Port and captivating art performances along Tran Hung Dao Street. Each team will dazzle the audience with a 20-minute firework display, intricately themed to evoke wonder.
Ticket prices will range from 1,000,000 VND based on seating areas, and they will be conveniently distributed through travel agencies, online platforms, the DIFF website, and the Sun Paradise Land app. Early bird discounts of up to 20% will be available, and each night, 50 complimentary tickets will be offered during the “golden hours” on the Sun Paradise Land app, travel agencies, tourism platforms, online booking sites, the diff.vn website; ensuring everyone can partake in this enchanting experience with ease. The total value of complimentary tickets will amount to nearly 500 million VND.
