September 2024 (Danang, Vietnam): voco Ma Belle Danang, IHG Hotel & Resorts’ lifestyle hotel on Vietnam’s stunning central coast, has unveiled Ciela Skybar and Dining, a pioneering rooftop venue that becomes the first restaurant in Danang to showcase Latin American flavours, alongside a cocktail bar and breath-taking vistas, raising the bar for hospitality, cuisine and sky-high corporate events in this spectacular setting.
Perched on the hotel’s top floor, 26 levels above the street with panoramic views of the beach and city, this is a stylish new destination that brings the vibrant spirit of South America to the shores of Danang. Ciela, which means “sky or heaven” in Spanish, is actually two venues in one. A chic pool bar by day, it serves a selection of refreshing drinks and casual bites, while guests chill out and take a refreshing dip in the infinity pool. Then, as dusk falls, it transforms into a trendy cocktail bar and a chic South American-inspired dining destination. In this sensational setting, guests can gaze out over the sea and skyline, sip artisan beverages and enjoy innovative cuisine, meticulously crafted with local herbs and spices.
In-house guests, local residents and other visitors can savour inventive dishes such as Mr Lima (classic fish ceviche, leche de tigre, chili, sweet potato and corn), Octopus (grilled smoked octopus, potato fondant with chorizo, romesco sauce and red smoked chimichurri), Sopes Pork Carnitas (braised pulled pork, pickled red onion, avocado, sweet potatoes and refried black beans), and Lobster Nikkei (grilled Nha Trang lobster, spicy miso sauce and fresh lime), while signature cocktails include Above the Clouds (Bacardi white rum, pineapple tea leaves, matcha and egg white), Tito Blossom (Roku gin, yuzu jam and shiso), Choco Voco (Johnny Walker Black Label whisky infused with truffle, chocolate sauce and angostura bitters), and Fairy Tiki (Tanqueray gin, jackfruit and sawtooth coriander), backed by upbeat sets from live DJ spinning from 19:30 – 22:30 hrs everynight. Happy hour runs daily from 17:00-19:00 hrs, with a “buy one get one free” offer on beers, house wines, selected cocktails and mocktails.
