According to the Organizing Committee of the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV), Prof. Kim Seon-ah will serve as a member of the Jury for the Asian Competition section of this year’s festival.

Kim Seon-ah is a leading Korean film producer, educator, and film policy expert with more than 30 years of experience. She is currently a Professor in the Department of Performing Arts and Film at Dankook University and serves as President of Women in Film Korea, an organization dedicated to advancing the role of women in the Korean film industry.
She also served as Vice Chairperson of the Korean Film Council (KOFIC) from 2022 to January 2025.
Throughout her producing career, Prof. Kim Seon-ah has been involved in a number of notable Korean films, including One Day (2017), Rikidozan (2004), Save the Green Planet! (2003), One Fine Spring Day (2001), Phantom: The Submarine (1999), Motel Cactus (1997), Final Blow (1996), and Millions in My Account (1995).
Notably, she was the producer of the virtual reality project Bloodless (2017), which won the Best VR Story award in the Venice VR Competition section at the Venice International Film Festival.
Alongside her film production work, Kim Seon-ah has been actively engaged in film policy research and development, promoting gender equality in the creative industries and conducting research on new media in South Korea.
Her participation as a Jury Member for the Asian Competition section at DANAFF IV is expected to bring insightful and multidimensional professional perspectives while further strengthening connections between the film industries of Vietnam, South Korea, and the wider Asian region.
