The 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival (DANAFF IV) has officially unveiled the lineup of 13 films selected for the Asian In-Competition Films category, featuring outstanding works from diverse countries and territories across Asia.
As one of the festival’s most prestigious sections, the competition program showcases remarkable cinematic voices that reflect contemporary Asian societies through stories of history, culture, identity, and the human condition.

Several of the selected films have already gained international recognition through screenings and awards at major film festivals such as Berlin, Cannes, Venice, Busan, and Toronto. Alongside acclaimed filmmakers, the program also introduces emerging talents whose works demonstrate distinctive artistic voices and a strong spirit of innovation.
Spanning psychological dramas, social realism, historical narratives, political thrillers, and experimental cinematic forms, the Asian In-Competition Films section offers audiences a vibrant panorama of contemporary Asian cinema. Through these diverse stories, filmmakers engage in meaningful dialogues with history, reality, and the fundamental questions shaping modern life across the region.
Taking place from June 28 to July 4, 2026, in Da Nang, Vietnam, DANAFF IV continues to strengthen its position as a leading cinematic platform in Asia, fostering connections between filmmakers, industry professionals, and audiences while celebrating the richness and diversity of Asian cinema.
