Tet – Vietnamese New Year is the most important celebration in Vietnamese culture. Tet celebrates the arrival of spring based on the lunar calendar. Tet is a time for family members to get together, exchange best wishes and welcome the New Year with a feast. For tourists and travelers, it’s also a great time to see Vietnam at its most colorful, especially in the cities of Danang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
To bring the true Vietnamese Tet atmosphere to our guests during this special occasion, Grand Mercure Danang shows annually our traditional Tet’s Vietnamese cuisine during Tet and let our guests enjoy traditional Lion dance performance that spread the effervescent atmosphere into the lobby in the first morning of Lunar Calendar – 28 January 2017 from 9am. Especially, square glutinous rice cake “banh Chung” & cylindrical glutinous rice cake “banh Tet” will be prepared at lobby till 11am only on the same day. Moreover, in the spirit of this culturally auspicious day, we will prepare traditional Tet treats and drinks such as crystallized ginger “mut Gung”, and Vietnamese Tea at lobby for the whole 3 days of Tet.
