Vietjet Air is intensively exploiting the direct flight between Ho Chi Minh City and Bangkok with the frequency of 2 flights each day. The airline also put into market many tempting ticket promotion activities for this flight.
With the advantage to connect Thailand, “Vietjet Air is considering broaden flight network from Danang such as Danang – Bangkok. We are examining the proper time”, said by Mr Tran Hoang Linh, Director of Vietjet Air in Central Vietnam.
According to Mr Linh, Thailand is one of the most popular destinations chosen by Central Vietnam’s tourist thanks to its cheap price which is even cheaper than domestic traveling. Meanwhile, Central Vietnam is also a favorite place for Thailand people. That’s why the direct flight between Danang and Bangkok is necessary for tourism stimulation.
In the last 5 years, Thailand also presents in top ten tourist markets of Danang. As of September 2014, the number of Thailand tourist in Danang is 26,304 people.
Vietjet Air representative expressed the desire to receive practical supports from the local government for new flight operation plan such as being discounted on service charges in Danang International Airport in the first 3 years; being sponsored a part of operational expenditure in 2 years so that the airlines can stimulate travel needs and establish the habit of traveling in local people; promoting destinations of the new flight in Danang and Thailand; cooperating closely with accommodation and travel agencies to discount off services and offer exciting tours.
