Within the framework of the ongoing 5th Asian Beach Games in Da Nang, the Master Chef Da Nang 2016 contest took place yesterday at the eastern end of the Rong (Dragon) Bridge.
The event had been co-organised by the local Tourism Promotion Centre, the Sunhouse Group, and the A-Au (Asia-Europe) Vocational Guidance School.
There were 20 teams participating in total, and they were from Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, and the provinces of Quang Nam, Hue and Kon Tum.
The Pullman Danang Resort won the first prize of 30 million VND, whilst the second prize of 17 million VND went to the Future Foods Ltd Company from Ho Chi Minh City. The Fusion Resort Nha Trang came third and won 12 million VND. The À La Carte Da Nang Beach and the Fusion Suites Danang Beach each received a consolation prize worth 7 million VND each.
The Da Nang Vocational Tourism Junior College and the Fusion Resort Nha Trang won the awards for their creative and beautifully-decorated dishes respectively, valued at 2.5 million VND each.
