Weeks before the Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labor Day (May 1), the number of tourists visiting the central provinces of Da Nang and Quang Nam has increased, a good sign for the tourism industry amid the pandemic.
Going on a vacation with her family, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, (Hanoi), said she chose to travel to Da Nang because air tickets, hotel rooms and many other services were cheaper. Not to mention that the city has many other tourism incentive programs. Besides, these tourism spots are not packed with people.
“Da Nang has many tourism-stimulating programs, which has benefited tourists in several ways. As we booked a hotel room at a discount, the prices of all services are reasonable and the attractions are less crowded,” she said.
Ms. Le Hong Suong, General Director of Danasea Tourism Joint Stock Company, told VietNamNet that in March 2021, there were many groups of tourists booking tours to visit Da Nang.
“There have been about 400 people booking tours in Danang in April. This number is expected to rise because tourists often book tours that take place right before the holidays. Tour operators in Danang are doing several promotions. We are also offering free sightseeing tours around Danang for visitors. Hopefully in the coming time, the number of tourists will increase more significantly to restore the tourism industry,” Suong said.
As reported by VietNamNet, during the second half of March, famous tourist spots such as Hoi An ancient town in Quang Nam and My Khe beach, and Ba Na Hills in Da Nang City have been crowded.
In Quang Nam, Mr. Pham Vu Dung, director of Hoa Hong Travel and Service Co., Ltd., said that since the province implemented many policies to stimulate demand for tourism, the company has hosted nearly 1,000 visitors to Hoi An every day.
Nguyen Thanh Hong, director of the Quang Nam Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the number of tourists visiting and staying in this province is increasing sharply, especially on weekends. To stimulate the demand and attract domestic tourists, the Department is cooperating with the Tourism Association and tourism operators to innovate products and improve the quality of services.
